Origins of the End is a Discovery-era story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you discover VESTA’s true origins. It has a recommended level of 27, starts at warp 1, and needs warp 20 to complete. You meet Scotty in Vulcan, donate 110,000 Tritanium to help his scans, and investigate a strange structure in Nott. There is no fight. The reward is 127,000 Tritanium and 320 3★ Battleship Parts, and it unlocks No Strings, No Master.
Origins of the End objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Meet with Scotty. Location: Vulcan.
- Donate 110,000 Tritanium to assist Scotty’s scans.
- Investigate one of the strange structures. Location: Nott.
- Return to your Station.
Scotty needs Tritanium for his scans, and those scans point you to the strange structures in Nott. After investigating one of them you head home, and the mission completes at your Station. No hostile is listed.
Where and what warp
No pickup system is listed. The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to complete. Vulcan and Nott are the two named systems.
The recommended level is 27. With nothing to fight, the 110,000 Tritanium donation and warp 20 are the only requirements.
Counting the trip home, the mission is three journeys: out to Vulcan, on to Nott, and back to your Station. Since no fight is involved, the time the mission takes is mostly travel time, so a ship with good warp speed finishes it fastest.
Origins of the End rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tritanium | 127,000 |
| 3★ Battleship Parts | 320 |
Completing it unlocks the next mission, No Strings, No Master.
Origins of the End at other levels
Origins of the End is offered in 4 versions, at recommended levels 6, 12, 27 and 40. The story is the same in each, but the objectives, systems, warp and rewards change with the version. The walkthrough above covers the level 27 version.
| Recommended level | Systems | Warp to complete | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | No set system | 1 | 20 1★ Explorer Parts, 25 Ship XP |
| 12 | Quvolis | 7 | 10 5 Minute Speed Up, 12,000 Parsteel |
| 27 (this page) | Vulcan, Nott | 20 | 127,000 Tritanium, 320 3★ Battleship Parts |
| 40 | Andoria, Nott | 30 | 6 1 Day Speed Up, 32 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas, 947,000 Dilithium |
How it compares with the previous mission
Origins of the End follows Dangerous Appetites, where you first deal with VESTA. Current game data:
| Mission | Level | Warp to complete | Fights | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dangerous Appetites | 26 | 13 | Romulan drone (about 154,890) and VESTA (about 133,290) in Kaikara | 412,000 Parsteel, 1 1 Day Peace Shield |
| Origins of the End | 27 | 20 | None listed | 127,000 Tritanium, 320 3★ Battleship Parts |
Dangerous Appetites is the combat half of the VESTA story. Origins of the End is the investigation, with a higher warp but no fights.
Is it worth it?
On Tritanium alone, the mission nearly breaks even. You donate 110,000 and get 127,000 back, a net gain of 17,000. The real value is the 320 3★ Battleship Parts, which go toward battleship upgrades, so this mission matters most to players who fly a battleship.
Tips
Have the Tritanium ready when you meet Scotty. The donation comes straight after the Vulcan meeting, and the 127,000 Tritanium reward only arrives when the mission is complete, so the 110,000 has to come from your own stores first.
Send any ship. There is no hostile anywhere in the mission, so a survey or mining ship that can reach Nott is enough, and your combat ship stays free.
The return home ends the mission at your Station. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
