New Colony is a level 54 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you carry a Trill researcher back to Federation space and on to a possible new colony world. You pick it up in Omana at warp 285, and it needs warp 285 to complete. There are three objectives and one fight, against a Breen warship. The reward is 500 Premium Recruit Tokens and 4.5 million Dilithium, plus repair speed ups and Tritanium tokens, and it costs no faction standing.

New Colony objectives

Demori is a Trill researcher scouting planets where symbionts could live. Her current survey world, Wapuc, has been ruled unsuitable, and the fighting in the sector has made transport hard to find. She asks you to take her findings to Hyland and then fly her on to the planet Uujoa.

  • Take the Trill back to Federation space. Location: Hyland.
  • Defeat the Breen warship. Location: Hyland. Enemy strength is roughly 20,291,657.
  • Find the colony on Uujoa. Location: Kurchee.

At Hyland a Breen captain orders you to stop, claiming Trill spies smuggled stolen Isogen reserves into the system and pointing to the Trill life signs on your ship. Demori insists she is only a researcher, and the Breen open fire. Afterwards she explains that the Breen have been hunting Trill for months because of the conflict in the Origin Sector, and Maia advises her to stay inside Federation borders whenever she can for her own safety. Once her findings are with the institute on Hyland, you take her to Uujoa, in the Kurchee system.

Where and what warp

The pickup system is Omana, which needs warp 285. Warp 285 is also enough to complete the mission, and both Hyland and Kurchee are in Federation space. The recommended level is 54.

Tips

The Breen warship is the only fight, at about 20.3 million strength. It comes as the second objective, right after you arrive in Hyland, so bring a combat ship from the start rather than a ship you only use for travel.

The three 100K Tritanium Tokens come to 300,000 Tritanium, and the ten 30 Minute Repair Speed Ups add up to five hours of repair time. The Dilithium and Premium Recruit Tokens are the main reasons to run it.

There are no faction points in the reward list, so New Colony leaves your standing with every faction untouched. That makes it a safe pick if you are protecting your Federation standing while doing Romulan or Klingon missions at the same level. More missions around level 54 are on the mission guide.
