Augments Part 5: Lessons of the Past is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission in the Augment storyline where you track down the scientist responsible for Khan’s eventual escape. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 13 to complete. You take Khan to Krah’Hor, find Marla McGivers at Vos’Keth Station, take her to Coridan and bring both of them to Zonelif in Zaurak. The headline reward is 7 Marla McGivers shards.
Augments Part 5: Lessons of the Past objectives
There are six objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Take Khan to Krah’Hor in Klingon space. Location: Krah’Hor.
- Track McGivers to Vos’Keth Station. Location: Krah’Hor.
- Defeat the Station’s Guard Patrol. Location: Krah’Hor. Enemy strength is about 16,758.
- Take Marla McGivers to Coridan. Location: Coridan.
- Destroy the Bounty Hunter. Location: Coridan. Enemy strength is about 16,382.
- Bring Marla and Khan to Zonelif. Location: Zaurak.
The mission has two fights of similar strength: the station’s guard patrol in Krah’Hor and a Bounty Hunter in Coridan. The rest is transport, ending with both passengers delivered to Zonelif.
Where and what warp
You can accept the mission at warp 1, and it needs warp 13 to complete. Krah’Hor, Coridan and Zaurak are the three systems.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The two fights at about 16,000 to 17,000 strength and the warp 13 range are the real requirements.

The fights across these three are all close to 17,000 strength, so the whole stretch suits the same ship. Part 5 is the only one with officer shards.
Tips
Any combat ship with a margin over 17,000 strength can clear both fights. Repair between Krah’Hor and Coridan if the first leaves you damaged.
