Interception is a Klingon-aligned story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You meet Khol in Vindemiatrix, search for evidence of an escape pod, defeat a rogue Starfleet agent and retreat to Khitomer. It can be accepted at warp 1 and needs warp 17 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The one fight is against an agent of about 55,452 strength. The rewards include 250 Klingon Recruit Tokens and 4 Common Plutonium, and finishing it unlocks Mass Destruction.
Interception objectives
The story line asks you to investigate the escape pod on Vindemiatrix. There are four objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Meet Khol in Vindemiatrix. Location: Vindemiatrix.
- Search for evidence of the escape pod in Vindemiatrix. Location: Vindemiatrix.
- Defeat the rogue Starfleet agent. Location: Vindemiatrix. Enemy strength is roughly 55,452.
- Retreat to Khitomer. Location: Khitomer.
The first three steps all happen in Vindemiatrix, including the fight. The last step moves you to Khitomer to finish.
Where and what warp
Interception can be accepted at warp 1 and needs warp 17 to complete, which covers both Vindemiatrix and Khitomer. The recommended level is listed as 1. The rogue agent at about 55,452 strength is the real test, and a combat ship built for that range handles it.

Completing Interception also unlocks the next mission, Mass Destruction. The mission before it is Generational Crimes.
Interception is a Klingon mission: you gain Klingon reputation and lose a small amount of Romulan reputation.

Scraps ends in Khitomer too, and its engineer’s vessel (about 104,274 strength) is roughly twice as strong as the Interception agent.
Hostiles near Khitomer
Current hostile data lists Klingon hostiles in Khitomer between level 20 and 26, including Klingon Patrol and Klingon Trader ships, plus a level 23 Klingon Arsenal and Sentrypost. They are optional, but convenient if you finish the mission there and want to farm.
Tips
Bring a combat ship to Vindemiatrix. The fight comes in the middle of the mission, before you reach Khitomer.
Keep the Common Plutonium. It is the only material in the reward; everything else is tokens, credits or reputation. Scraps, the other warp 17 Khol mission, pays recruit tokens but no material at all.
