Hunting the Snake is a level 29 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you track down Eurydice. It can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 24 to finish, with stops at her base in Kuzukoh and her tradepost in Valance. There is one fight, an Eclipse ship at about 204,000 strength, and a 100,000 Dilithium donation at the end. The rewards are 128,000 Dilithium and 24 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas, so you come out ahead on Dilithium.
Hunting the Snake objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Go to Eurydice’s Base. Location: Kuzukoh.
- Defeat the Eclipse ship. Location: Kuzukoh. Enemy strength is roughly 204,300.
- Go to Eurydice’s tradepost. Location: Valance.
- Donate 100,000 Dilithium.
The search starts at Eurydice’s base in Kuzukoh, where an Eclipse ship is waiting. After that fight you move on to her tradepost in Valance, and the last step is a 100,000 Dilithium donation. There is no return-to-station step, so the mission ends with the donation.
Where and what warp
Hunting the Snake has no named pickup system and can be picked up at warp 1. Completing it takes warp 24, which covers Kuzukoh and Valance. The recommended level is 29.
The Eclipse ship at about 204,300 strength is the only fight and the main test. The donation is the other thing to plan for.

Completing Hunting the Snake unlocks the next mission, Big Brother.
After paying the 100,000 Dilithium donation, the mission leaves you 28,000 Dilithium up, plus the refined gas. You do need the 100,000 in hand first, though, since the donation comes before the reward.

Both missions share the recommended level, warp and a single Eclipse ship fight at around 200,000 strength, so a ship that cleared Into the Open is ready here. Into the Open pays in Tritanium and speed ups; this mission pays in Dilithium and refined gas.
Tips
Have 100,000 Dilithium ready before you reach Valance. The donation is the final step, and arriving short means waiting or making another trip.
Bring your combat ship to Kuzukoh. The Eclipse ship fight comes right after you reach Eurydice’s base, so there is no warm-up step.
Repair after the fight. The donation needs no ship strength, so the trip to Valance is a good time to fix any damage.
