Hang in There is a level 74 station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command that sits between the Fracture and Outbreak chains. It needs only warp 1, and its three objectives are to collect Gravimetric Data, transmit it and upgrade Operations to level 75. The data comes from completing 5 missions in the Margins or the Veil. The reward is 2,583,000 Σ-Parsteel and 8,320,000 Latinum, and finishing it unlocks Outbreak Part 1. It is the first of three Gravimetric Data missions, and the one that asks for the least data.

Hang in There objectives

There are three objectives in order and no choice split:

  • Collect Gravimetric Data.
  • Transmit the Gravimetric Data.
  • Upgrade Operations to level 75.

The collection target is 5 Gravimetric Data, earned by completing 5 missions in the Margins or the Veil. The faction missions in the region pay 1 each. Once they are transmitted, the mission waits on Operations 75.

Where and what warp

Warp to start and warp to complete are both 1, and there is no pickup system. The recommended level is 74. The missions you run for the data are further out: the level 74 faction missions need warp 3,000.

Where Hang in There sits in the story

Mission Recommended level Warp to complete Story
Fracture Part 5 74 1,550 Await news of Section 31’s mission
Hang in There 74 1 Explore, complete missions, and increase your power
Outbreak Part 1 75 3,500 Find a way to get the inter-dimensional virus under control

The other two Gravimetric Data missions follow the same pattern with higher targets: Midnight Oil at level 76 asks for 8 data and Operations 77, and The Fruits of our Labor at level 78 asks for 10 data and Operations 79. Hang in There pays the most Σ-Parsteel of the three.

Tips

Get Defense Technologies 74 done early. It is a listed requirement for Operations 75 and has its own station mission, which in turn needs R&D Department 74.

Use the data missions to build the reputation you want. The level 74 set covers the Federation, Klingon and Romulan sides as well as neutral missions.

After this comes Outbreak, where the jump to warp 3,500 means the next story chain needs more range than Fracture did. The Σ resources page covers the Σ materials for Operations 75, and the mission guide lists the level 74 missions you can use for the data.
