Gone Rogue is a Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Starfleet has identified a former Section 31 agent it believes has gone rogue, and it wants her brought in for questioning. You pick the mission up in Terra Nova at warp 45, track the agent to Altair, then decide how to deal with her. Destroying her ship pays Parsteel and Dilithium; handing her over pays recruit tokens. It needs warp 48 to complete, and both outcomes give the same Federation reputation.

Gone Rogue objectives

The mission opens with two shared steps:

  • Find the suspected rogue Section 31 agent. Location: Altair.
  • Deal with the agent. The game asks how you will deal with her, which is the choice split.

Promise a substantial reward for the agent’s aid

  • Follow the agent’s escape route. Location: Altair.
  • Destroy the agent’s ship. Location: Altair. Enemy strength is roughly 1,157,968.

Rewards for this path: 17,029,000 Parsteel, 501,000 Dilithium, 500 Federation Credits, 100,000 Federation Points and -140,400 Klingon Points.

Convince the agent you are attacking Romulan or Klingon territory

  • Hand over the agent to Starfleet security. Location: Alpha Centauri.

Rewards for this path: 200 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 450 Premium Recruit Tokens, 500 Federation Credits, 100,000 Federation Points and -140,400 Klingon Points.

There are three answers to choose from. Promising a reward leads to the chase and the fight. Telling the agent you are making an assault on Romulan territory, or on Klingon territory, both end with the same handover to Starfleet security and the same rewards, so in practice there are two outcomes.

Where and what warp

Gone Rogue is picked up in Terra Nova, which needs warp 45. Completing it needs warp 48. The game lists a recommended level of 1. The combat path’s target at about 1.16 million strength is the real test if you choose to fight; the handover path has no listed fight.

Other missions around Terra Nova and Altair

Both systems show up in other missions at a similar warp. Current game data:

Mission Shared system Warp to complete Rewards
Mixed Messages Terra Nova 45 33,828,000 Parsteel, 24 3 Hour Speed Ups, 400 4★ Common Explorer Parts
A Trojan Effort Altair 48 4,482,000 Tritanium, Federation Credits and reputation
Gone Rogue Terra Nova, Altair 48 Parsteel and Dilithium, or recruit tokens, plus Federation reputation

Tips

Pick the path by what you are short of. Destroying the ship is the resource option, while the handover gives 650 recruit tokens across two types and skips the fight entirely.

The reputation result is the same either way, so the choice has no effect on your Federation or Klingon standing. Expect to lose 140,400 Klingon Points whichever way you go.

If you take the fight, bring a ship that can beat about 1.16 million strength. The fight comes straight after you follow her escape route through Altair.
