There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Rendezvous with T’Pora. Location: Sorenle.
- Find the Separatist ships. Location: Ajilon.
- Defeat the Separatist Ship. Location: Ajilon. Enemy strength is roughly 204,300.
- Investigate the Separatist Ship. Location: Ajilon.
You meet T’Pora in Sorenle first, then move to Ajilon for the rest of the mission. Finding the Separatists, beating their ship and investigating the wreck all happen in that one system, so after the first jump there is no more travel.

One More Round is travel only, so From the Brink is the first real fight in this stretch. The Inevitable raises the warp to 22 but its Klingon Officer is slightly weaker than the Separatist Ship, so if you win here you are ready for that fight too.

Tips
Bring a combat ship from the start. The mission has only one fight, and sending a fighter from the outset lets the ship that meets T’Pora in Sorenle carry straight on to the battle in Ajilon.
Keep the 50 5 Minute Repair Speed Ups. Together they cover more than four hours of repairs, which is useful right away for The Inevitable’s fight.
If the Separatist Ship is too strong, the gap is in ship strength rather than warp. Ajilon only needs warp 17, so upgrading your ship or crew is the fix.
