Flame Becomes a Fire is a level 63 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which the Azinjen power struggle comes to a head with a one-on-one duel. It is picked up in Faroon, needs warp 1,100 to start and to complete, and has two objectives: defeat the Formless in Faroon, then report to the Segment Assembly in Sigrun. The single fight is only about 106 million strength. The reward is 36,000 6★ Raw Crystal, 104,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium and a large Federation reputation gain. It is one of the quickest missions at this level.
Flame Becomes a Fire objectives
There are two objectives and no choice split:
- Defeat the Formless. Location: Faroon. Enemy strength about 106,102,847.
- Report back to the Segment Assembly in Sigrun. Location: Sigrun.
The Formless have beamed Cha’na, the former Triangle Leader, out of the Assembly’s holding cells, and she proposes to settle things ship against ship: whoever wins controls the Segment Assembly. Square Leader Ba’sygor names you as his champion and makes her agree that the Formless will return to the Assembly if she loses.
Beaten, Cha’na says all she wants is to go home. Ba’sygor promises she will, once the mission is complete, but strips her of command; she will sit with the Square Assembly without leading it. She declares the Formless dissolved. Back in Sigrun, Ahvix blames herself for encouraging Cha’na to join the traversal, and Ba’sygor tells her the answer is to finish the mission and open the way home for those who want it.
Where and what warp
The mission is picked up in Faroon, where the duel takes place, and ends in Sigrun. Warp to start and to complete is 1,100. The recommended level is 63, but the duel itself is far below that level’s usual enemy strength.

Its 104,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium is the lowest raw Σ amount in the group, but the effort is also the lowest: one light fight and a trip to Sigrun.
Tips
Any level 63 combat ship should win the duel easily at about 106 million strength. The main requirement is warp 1,100 for Faroon and Sigrun.
