Family Matters is a level 50 KSG side mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you help a father named Ujoll find his lost son, Tel’Mek. It is picked up in tIn jIb and needs warp 185 to start and finish. You find Tel’Mek in tlhuHwI’, stop him attacking pirates in Dela, defeat 12 hostiles, and report to Ujoll in ghuH. The reward is 90 5★ Uncommon Refined Crystal and a KSG Datapad.
Family Matters objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Find Tel’Mek. Location: tlhuHwI’.
- Stop Tel’Mek from attacking the pirates. Location: Dela.
- Defeat 12 hostiles of level 50 or higher.
- Return to Ujoll. Location: ghuH.
The hostile count has no system attached, so any 12 hostiles of level 50 or higher will do. No named enemy or strength is listed. The story moves fast: you track Tel’Mek down in tlhuHwI’, catch him in Dela as he goes after the pirates, and deal with the hostiles yourself before bringing news back to his father in ghuH.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is tIn jIb, and warp 185 covers every stop: tlhuHwI’, Dela and ghuH. The recommended level is 50.
The 12 hostile kills are the only combat, so a ship that can grind level 50 targets is ready. Dela is the only stop tied to trouble in the story, so it is the natural place to clear the hostile count.

Tips
Take Buyer Beware at the same time. It also starts in tIn jIb, also goes to Dela and also finishes in ghuH, so the two share most of their route.
Do the 12 hostiles in Dela while you are there for Tel’Mek, rather than making a separate trip.
