Fallen Idols is a Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, picked up in Vulcan with a recommended level of 1. It needs warp 17 both to start and to complete. Starfleet has picked up a strange transmission on its long-range receivers, and following it takes you through three systems to the Franklin’s last known position, where a Nausicaan Scavenger of about 44,970 strength stands in the way. The reward is 111,000 Parsteel, and nothing is donated or paid along the way.
Fallen Idols objectives
There are four objectives across three systems and no choice split:
- Investigate the strange signal coming from Thaspa. Location: Orion.
- Go to the Franklin’s last known position. Location: Elona.
- Defeat the Nausicaan Scavenger. Location: Elona. Enemy strength is roughly 44,970.
- Go to the coordinates in the transmission. Location: Kepler-018.
The signal comes from Thaspa, which sits in the Orion system, so Orion is your first stop. The trail then leads to Elona, the last known position of the Franklin, and that is where the one fight happens. With the Scavenger beaten, the final objective sends you to the coordinates in the transmission in Kepler-018, and the mission ends there.
Where and what warp
You pick up Fallen Idols in Vulcan, and the data lists warp 17 to start and warp 17 to complete. The route runs Vulcan, then Orion, then Elona, then Kepler-018. There is no return-to-station step, so your ship finishes out in Kepler-018.
The recommended level in the data is 1, but the Nausicaan Scavenger at about 44,970 is the practical test.
Fallen Idols rewards
The only reward is 111,000 Parsteel. Fallen Idols has no unlock line in the data, so completing it does not open a next part.
Fallen Idols and Friend of the Federation compared
Vulcan offers another warp 17 Federation mission, Friend of the Federation. Both start in Vulcan, so the two make a natural pair.

Fallen Idols has the harder fight and an extra system to visit, but it costs nothing to run. Friend of the Federation has an easier fight but asks for a 2,000 Dilithium donation.
Tips
Bring a combat ship. Three of the four objectives are travel, but the Nausicaan Scavenger at around 45,000 is no target for a mining or survey hull.
Plan the route before you leave Vulcan. The mission crosses Orion, Elona and Kepler-018 in order, so check all three are within your warp range at the start rather than finding out halfway.
