Negotiations is an early main storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 4, in which you make contact with a Federation envoy. It has one objective, meeting the Abgesandter, and needs only warp 1 to start and finish. The reward is 25 Ship XP, and completing it unlocks Target Practice. It is a quick story step with no fight and no cost.

Negotiations objectives

Es gibt ein Ziel und keine Verzweigung:

No system, enemy or donation is listed. The mission completes once you meet the envoy. It is a story beat in a stretch that is otherwise about your Station: the Missionen on either side ask you to build Research and Development, research Hull Density and upgrade Operations.

Wo und welcher Warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The meeting happens close to home.

The recommended level is 4, the same as the missions immediately around it.

Negotiations rewards

The only reward is 25 Ship XP. Completing Negotiations unlocks the next storyline mission, Zielübungen.

Negotiations and the missions around it

This stretch of the opening storyline mixes station building, research and small story beats:

Mission Recommended level Task Belohnungen
Explore the Strange and the New 4 Build the Research and Development building 10 Dilithium
Dichte 4 Use Research to unlock Hull Density 15 Dilithium
Verhandlungen 4 Make contact with a Federation envoy 25 Ship XP
Zielübungen 4 Run Maia through combat maneuvers Choice of 500 Parsteel and 5 1★ Explorer Parts, or 700 Parsteel
Versionen 5 Upgrade der Operationen auf Stufe 5 1,750 Parsteel

Every mission here stays at warp 1. Negotiations is the only one that pays Ship XP, while the others pay small amounts of Dilithium or Parsteel.

Tips

Clear it as soon as it appears. There is nothing to prepare, and it stands between you and Target Practice, which pays more: a choice of 500 Parsteel with 5 1★ Explorer Parts, or a flat 700 Parsteel.

Versions, two missions later, is an Operations 5 upgrade. If you are saving Ressourcen for it, the Parsteel from Target Practice helps.

The full storyline order is on the main storyline missions page. Previous mission: Density. Next mission: Target Practice. More early missions are on the Missionsleitfaden.
