Tribbles & Tremors is a level 61 Föderation faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. A self-important scientist hires you as an escort to save a planet in Stellastica from ecological collapse, and the culprit turns out to be Tribbles. You pick it up in Euryodite-731 and need warp 900 to start and to complete. You choose between bringing in a natural predator and bombarding the planet. Both paths pay the same Aamaarazan Breathing Mask, 310,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel and 3,600 Federation Credits, and neither has a fight.
Tribbles & Tremors objectives
The opening is shared:
- Investigate the odd ecological collapse. Location: Stellastica.
- Investigate the origin of the infestation. Location: Stellastica.
- How should we deal with the Tribble infestation?
The scientist mistakes you for the escort they were expecting, then decides you will do. Once your equipment is set up, they are thrilled to have found a new species and want to name it, until you point out that Tribbles are a gemeinsame pest known for wrecking ecosystems. Two fixes come up: introduce one of the Tribbles’ natural predators, or copy the Klingon habit of clearing infestations with warheads.
Introduce a natural predator
- Find a natural predator for the Tribbles. Location: Daz.
- Return to the planet. Location: Stellastica.
The scientist backs this idea and collects a specimen in Daz. Back in Stellastica, the predator’s feeding frenzy is far more violent than expected, and the scientist leaves in a hurry.
Bombard the planet
- Donate 2500 Σ-Tritanium to create a toxin.
- Bombard the surface of the planet. Location: Stellastica.
The scientist grumbles about brute force but prepares a toxin for the warheads, which needs the Σ-Tritanium. After the bombardment, the complaint about lost research journal fame fades once you explain how well studied Tribbles already are.
Wo und welcher Warp
The mission is picked up in Euryodite-731 and needs warp 900 both to start and to complete. Stellastica is where the investigation and the ending happen. The predator path adds a trip to Daz; the bombardment path stays in Stellastica. The recommended level is 61.
Tribbles & Tremors rewards
Both choices give the same rewards:

Other level 61 Federation missions

| Shoulders of Giants | Lorraine | 900 | Depends on the choice |
All of these pay 3,600 Federation Credits and 104,000,000 Federation Points. Sinister Machinations shares the Euryodite-731 pickup and, like this mission, pays the same on both of its paths.
Tips
This is one of the easiest faction missions at level 61. There are no hostiles to grind and no enemy to beat on either path, so any ship with the warp range can finish it.
Since the rewards match, pick by cost. The predator path costs nothing but a trip to Daz and back. The bombardment path skips that trip but asks for 2,500 Σ-Tritanium, so it only makes sense if you have plenty to spare.
Federation missions at this level take a large bite out of your Klingon standing: 228,384,000 points here, against 50,752,000 from the Romulan side. If you also run Klingonisch missions, check Fraktionsruf first. More missions by level are on the mission guide.
