The Empire Calls IV is the fourth mission in the KSG’s Empire Calls series in Star Trek Fleet Command, and the one with a choice split. You retrieve kidnapped scientists in ST-19184, then decide whether to return to KSG space or rescue the scientists on the spot. It starts at warp 1 after The Empire Calls III and needs warp 440 to complete, the longest range in the series. Both paths pay 20 1B Parsteel Tokens, and finishing unlocks The Empire Calls V.
The Empire Calls IV objectives
The story line is to rescue kidnapped scientists. Everyone starts with the same step:
- Retrieve the scientists. Location: ST-19184.
- Choose what to do next.
Return to KSG space
- Return to KSG space. Location: Pnema-438.
- Defeat the assault force. Location: Pnema-438. Enemy strength around 56.1 million.
- Defeat General Korkana. Location: Pnema-438. Enemy strength around 53.8 million.
Rewards for this path: 1 1 Day Peace Shield, 20 1B Parsteel Tokens, 800 Klingon Credits, 5,200,000 Klingon Points, -11,044,800 Romulanisch Points.
Rescue the scientists
- Defeat the assault force. Location: ST-19184. Enemy strength around 56.1 million.
- Defeat General Tarnin. Location: ST-19184. Enemy strength around 53.8 million.
Rewards for this path: 700 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups, 20 1B Parsteel Tokens, 800 Klingon Credits, 5,200,000 Klingon Points, -11,044,800 Romulan Points.
The fights are the same strength on both paths. The difference is where they happen and one reward: a Peace Shield on the first path, a stack of repair speed ups on the second.
Wo und welcher Warp
There is no pickup system. The mission appears at warp 1 once The Empire Calls III is done, and warp 440 covers every system on either path.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The real bar is the warp 440 range and two fights at around 54 to 56 million strength, the toughest enemies in the series.

Tips
Pick the path by the reward you need. The Peace Shield is a single item you can save for a day you expect trouble; 700 repair speed ups add up to 175 hours of repair time spread across many small uses.
The rescue path skips the trip to Pnema-438 and keeps both fights in ST-19184, so it involves less travel.
Either way, repair between the assault force and the general if you can. Both enemies are above 50 million strength. Other missions by level are on the mission guide.
