Sidelined is a Klingon storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you help Gorkon deal with the aftermath of Starfleet’s push. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the mission takes you out to warp 95 and asks for a 30M Tritanium donation, so it belongs to the late game. There is no fight in it. The reward is a batch of 4★ Explorer parts, and finishing it unlocks We Will Not Be Silenced.
Sidelined objectives
There are five objectives across four systems, with no choice split:
- Meet with Gorkon. Location: Szov.
- Assist with the rebuilding effort. Location: Somraw.
- Donate 30M Tritanium.
- Evacuate wounded civilians from Toh’Kaht. Location: Toh'Kaht.
- Bring the civilians to Kronos. Location: Kronos.
The mission reads as a relief run. You check in with Gorkon at Szov, help with the rebuilding at Somraw, then pay for the repairs with Tritanium before moving the wounded out of Toh’Kaht. The last stop is Kronos, where the civilians are handed over and the mission closes. No hostile is listed at any step, so the only real costs are travel and the donation.
Wo und welcher Warp
Sidelined starts at warp 1 with no pickup system, so it appears in your mission list once the previous part is done. The objectives then push out to warp 95, and that is the number to plan around. Check that your ship can make that range before you head for the Szov meeting, so you are not stuck partway through the route with the Kronos stop still ahead.
The recommended level is listed as 1. In practice the warp 95 range and the 30M Tritanium bill are what decide when you can finish it.

Sidelined and the missions around it
Sidelined sits between two Missionen that pay Klingon faction rewards, while this one pays only ship parts.

Sidelined is the longest trip of the three, and the next mission needs only warp 1, so once you finish the Kronos stop the storyline gets easier on travel for a while.
Tips
Stockpile the Tritanium first. The 30M donation is the third objective, and if you arrive at that step short you have to stop and wait while the mission sits half done.
Any ship with the range works here. Since nothing on the route is a listed fight, a survey ship or explorer with good warp is a fine choice, and you do not need to repair between stops.
The Explorer parts are the whole payout, so the mission is most useful if you are upgrading an explorer hull. Rare parts are the scarcer of the two, and 25 of them is a decent top-up at this stage.
