Schwach und machtlos

Weak and Powerless is a short Romulan story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you extract a former member of Nero’s crew from Romulan territory. You pick it up in Draken, it needs warp 17 to start and to finish, and it has a single objective: take Javaid to Deneva Colony. The reward is 2 Javaid shards, 80 Romulan Credits, 800 Romulan Points and a Cargo Container, at a small cost in Federation and Klingonisch reputation. It is a quick way to add to Javaid.

Weak and Powerless objectives

The story line reads: extract a former member of Nero’s crew from Romulan territory. There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Take Javaid to Deneva Colony. Location: Deneva.

No hostile is listed and nothing is donated. The mission is a single transport leg from the Draken pickup to the colony in the Deneva system.

Wo und welcher Warp

The pickup system is Draken, a Romulan system, and the mission needs warp 17 both to start and to complete. A ship that can reach Draken can finish the run to Deneva without needing more range.

The game lists a recommended level of 1. With no combat step and a warp 17 range, the only real requirement is a ship that can make the trip.

Weak and Powerless rewards

Belohnung Amount
Javaid shards 2
Romulan Credits 80
Romulan Points 800
Cargo Container 1
Föderation Punkte -442
Klingon Points -294

The Romulan Points go toward your standing with the Romulaner, while the Federation and Klingon losses are small.

Why the mission is worth a stop

Officer shards are the headline here. Two Javaid shards are a modest amount, but they add to whatever you are already collecting, and the mission costs you one trip with no fight. The officer is also the person you are carrying, so the reward matches the story.

Javaid is an uncommon Befehl officer from the Nero’s Crew group. His captain maneuver, Overwhelming Fire, adds 20% Shield Piercing, and his officer ability, Reinforcements, raises Armor on a Battleship by 15% at rank 1 up to 40% at rank 5, so he suits a battleship crew.

The reputation side is small. 800 Romulan Points against 442 Federation Points and 294 Klingon Points lost is a net gain toward the Romulans, which fits a player who is already working Romulan Missionen in this part of space.

Tips

Use any ship with warp 17 or more. There is nothing to fight, so a survey ship or a spare explorer does the job and keeps your combat ship free for other work.

If you are running Romulan missions around Draken anyway, pick this one up while you are there. The whole mission is one leg from Draken to Deneva, so it fits between other tasks without much planning.

More missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden, während das Fraktionsruf page explains what the Romulan Points count toward.
