Odds On Favorite is a level 46 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you help Carlos, a gambler, settle his debts. It is picked up in X5-TKV, needs warp 130 to start and warp 150 to finish, and splits after you meet Carlos in Odin. You can speak with Mr. Ortega and fight Kain for 4★ Interceptor Parts and Dilithium, or simply give Carlos 2M Dilithium for 12,500,000 Tritanium and 80 Recruit Tokens. The paid route is much faster.

Welchen Weg du wählen solltest
Speaking with Mr. Ortega costs two tough fights and pays 1,000 4★ Interceptor Parts and more than 12 million Dilithium. If you fly Interceptors and can win fights at 6.5 million strength, it is the stronger reward.
Giving Carlos 2M Dilithium costs Ressourcen instead of time. You pay 2 million Dilithium and get 12.5 million Tritanium and 80 Recruit Tokens back, with no combat and no trip to Exchange Alpha. It suits a player who needs Tritanium or does not have a ship ready for the fights.
Tips
X5-TKV also offers Eine zweite Chance, another level 46 mission at warp 130, which pays 36 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups and 96,800,000 Parsteel. If you are making the trip anyway, the two fit together.
On the fighting path, repair between Kain’s bodyguard and Kain. The two fights are nearly identical in strength and come back to back in Exchange Alpha.
Both paths pay Recruit Tokens, but paying Carlos gives four times as many, 80 against 20. If recruit tokens are what you are short of, that tips the choice further toward the payment.
If you plan to pay Carlos, have the 2M Dilithium on hand when you meet him so the mission closes in one visit. More missions around level 46 are on the Missionsleitfaden.
