[PRO] Borg Operating Table

Die [PRO] Borg Operating Table is an Epic Forbidden Tech, a prototype artifact you slot onto the Borg Sphere. Its headline effect is a large Warp Speed boost for the Sphere, backed by buffs that raise your damage and blunt the enemy’s against Conqueror Borg Suppressors and Obliterators. It does one job well: turning the Borg-Sphäre into a faster, harder-hitting answer to Conqueror Borg targets. Chase it if you run that content.

Those targets are roaming hostiles from level 55 to 80 in the Assimilated systems, such as Assimilated Sol and Assimilated Vulcan, and every one of them can destroy any ship that is not a Borg Sphere. The Operating Table levels up with Borg Cortical Subunits and tiers up with Borg Plexus. If you searched for Borg Sphere Parts, those upgrade the Sphere itself, and the section below explains where they come from.

What the Borg Operating Table does

Every buff on this piece is tied to the Borg Sphere. The warp buff is active from the start, while the three combat buffs switch on as you tier the piece up, and each one only applies against Conqueror Borg Suppressors and Obliterators. Values scale with the item’s level once the buff has unlocked.

Buff Freigeschaltet ab Stufe Unlock value Max value
Borg Sphere Warp Speed Stufe 1 15% 1000%
Apex Shred vs Conqueror Borg Suppressors and Obliterators Stufe 2 375% 2500%
Reduces those targets’ Critical Damage Stufe 6 8% 200%
Critical Damage vs those targets Stufe 8 25% 300%

In play that means a fully built piece lets the Sphere reach the Assimilated systems faster, then strips the Suppressors’ and Obliterators’ defenses through Apex Shred while trading critical hits in your favor. All four values are current and can shift if the game rebalances them.

Where to use it: Conqueror Borg Suppressor and Obliterator locations

Conqueror Borg Suppressors and Obliterators are Explorer-hull hostiles that share the same systems at every level. The warp column is the warp each level needs, which is where the Operating Table’s Warp Speed buff earns its keep.

Ebene Warp Systeme
55 320 Assimilated Sirius, Assimilated Sol, Assimilated Tellar, Assimilated Wolf
57 400 Assimilated Andoria, Assimilated Denobula
59 500 Assimilated Altair, Assimilated Bogenschütze
61 900 Assimilated Vega
63 1,100 Assimilated Teneebia
65 1,250 Assimilated Riktor
66 1,300 Assimiliert Benzar
68 1,500 Assimiliert Axanar
70 1,550 Assimilated Trill
71 1,550 Assimilated Baelos
73 2,100 Assimilated Fellebia
75 3,500 Assimilated Hysperia
76 4,000 Assimilated Tau Ceti
78 5,000 Assimilated Thama
80 6,000 Assimilated Vulcan

Two of their abilities decide the crew. Suppressors carry Quantum Resonance Beam and Obliterators carry Hyperthermic Resonance Beam, which also has an 80% chance to apply 100% Hyperthermic Decay at the start of combat. Both beams destroy any player ship that is not a Borg Sphere, and the Sphere’s own Quantum Nullification Pulse disables them. Evolutionary Assimilation destroys your ship if Kathryn Janeway, Christopher Pike or Enterprise-E Picard is aboard, so keep those three off the bridge. Suppressors drop Broken Explorer Parts (5★ at levels 55 to 59, 6★ at 61 to 70, 7★ at 71 to 80), and Obliterators drop roughly twice as many. The Conqueror Borg Suppressor und Conqueror Borg Obliterator pages cover their stats and firing patterns.

How to get the Borg Operating Table

This is an Epic Forbidden Tech, so you unlock it with Epic Forbidden Fragments in the Forbidden Tech refinery. You earn more Fragments through Q’s Trials and special rewards. Before you can equip any Forbidden Tech you also need a free slot on your ship, which you open with Forbidden Tech Fusion Rods; the same Rods let you pull a piece back off a ship later. Fusion Rods come from the Forbidden Tech refinery and the Store. If you end up with spare Forbidden Tech parts, you can exchange the resulting Forbidden Tech Credit Pieces for Forbidden Tech Credits in the refinery.

Upgrading the Borg Operating Table

Two tracks raise the piece, and neither uses the standard Forbidden Tech upgrade materials. Tiering up with Borg Plexus raises the level cap and switches on the later buffs at the tiers shown above, and leveling up with Borg Cortical Subunits scales the values between those caps.

Ebene Level cap Kosten
Stufe 1 5 Startstufe, keine Kosten
Stufe 7 35 23,430 Uncommon Borg Plexus
Stufe 12 60 34,080 Rare Borg Plexus

Reaching max tier costs 134,190 Uncommon Borg Plexus and 123,540 Rare Borg Plexus in total. Taking it from level 2 to level 60 costs 153,912 Rare Borg Cortical Subunit and 53,250 Uncommon Borg Cortical Subunit.

The Rare grades are shared with the Interplexing Beacon: Rare Borg Plexus tiers up both pieces, and Rare Borg Cortical Subunits level up both. Uncommon Plexus and Subunits only work on the Operating Table, and the Epic grades only work on the Beacon. If you build both pieces, plan the Rare materials for both.

Borg Sphere Parts and other Sphere materials

Borg Sphere Parts are not an Operating Table material. They are used to upgrade components on the Borg Sphere itself, next to the Borg Sphere Node materials that unlock at higher Operations levels.

Material Was es bewirkt Woher sie kommt
Borg Sphere Parts Upgrades components on the Borg Sphere Mission rewards: 165 from Sphere of Influence, 50 from Ripples Part 1 and 50 from Contact Restored Part 1
Borg Sphere Node Tier 4, 7, 10 and 13 Upgrades components on the Borg Sphere Claimable from Operations 61, 66, 71 and 76
Uncommon Borg Cortical Subunit Levels up the Borg Operating Table Mission rewards: 2,130 from Sphere of Influence and 1,420 from Contact Restored Part 1
Rare Borg Cortical Subunit Levels up the Borg Operating Table and the Interplexing Beacon Not listed as a mission reward
Uncommon Borg Plexus Tiers up the Borg Operating Table Not listed as a mission reward
Rare Borg Plexus Tiers up the Borg Operating Table and the Interplexing Beacon Not listed as a mission reward

Sphere of Influence also pays 300 Epic Maverick Credits, which claim Epic bundles in the Maverick Faction store. Epic Maverick Credits also come from Borg Sphere Tasks, and they buy Regeneration Sequencers, which you exchange for your choice of Ship Parts in the Maverick Faction.

Best ships and uses for the Borg Operating Table

This piece is locked to the Borg Sphere, so there is no debate about where it goes. Every combat buff targets Conqueror Borg Suppressors and Obliterators, the roaming hostiles in the Assimilated systems that only a Borg Sphere can fight, so the Operating Table belongs on the Sphere you send after them. The warp buff is a bonus that gets you to those systems quicker, and at warp 1,500 and up that saves real time on every trip. If you never hunt Conqueror Borg Suppressors and Obliterators, only the warp buff does anything for you.

The Borg Operating Table in Star Trek

The Borg assimilate by replacing organic tissue with cybernetic implants, a process shown across The Next Generation, First Contact, and Voyager whenever a captive is fitted with Borg hardware. The Operating Table is not a named prop from any single episode; it is the game’s take on the surgical rig the Collective would use to install those implants and keep a damaged drone alive. The in-game lore leans into that idea, casting the table as both an assimilation tool and a life-support system with uses the Collective keeps to itself.

Is the Borg Operating Table worth it?

It is a specialist. For players grinding Conqueror Borg Suppressors and Obliterators on the Borg Sphere, an Epic piece with a 2500% Apex Shred ceiling and a big warp buff earns its slot. For everyone else it sits idle, since it does nothing outside that fight. Chase it and tier it up if Conqueror Borg Suppressor and Obliterator hunts are part of your routine; otherwise spend your Forbidden Tech resources elsewhere first.
