Poker Face is a short Star Trek Fleet Command mission in the Maia storyline, sent your way right after the Operations 49 upgrade mission. There is no combat: you fly into Federation space at Avofall and return to your station. It can be picked up at warp 1 but needs warp 150 to complete. The reward is 148,000 Officer XP, and finishing it unlocks The Deep End.

Poker Face objectives

The story line is “Investigate any further issues with Maia.” There are two objectives and no choice split:

  • Gehe zu Föderation space. Location: Avofall.
  • Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.

That is the whole mission. Reaching Avofall clears the first step, and bringing the ship home clears the second. No hostiles, donations or mining are involved, which makes Poker Face one of the simplest Missionen at this point of the storyline once you have the warp range.

Wo und welcher Warp

Avofall is the only system named. The mission can be accepted at warp 1, but warp 150 is required to complete it, so the warp needed to reach Avofall is the one real requirement.

The mission data lists a recommended level of 1. In practice Poker Face follows Betrieb 49, the mission for upgrading your Operations building to level 49, so it arrives late in station progression.

Poker Face rewards

Belohnung Amount
Officer XP 148,000

Completing Poker Face also unlocks The Deep End.

Officer XP is the only reward. At 148,000 it is a solid top-up for levelling Offiziere, and it costs nothing more than a round trip.

How it fits with the missions around it

Poker Face sits between a station upgrade and a combat mission, and it is the lightest of the three.

Mission Warp zum Abschließen What you do Belohnungen
Betrieb 49 1 Upgrade to Operations 49 22 each of 4★ Rare Refined Ore, Kristall and Gas
Poker Face 150 Travel to Avofall, return to your Station 148,000 Officer XP
The Deep End 160 Travel to Talora, defeat 15 hostiles of level 48 or higher, return to your Station 37,335,000 Tritanium, 6 3 Hour Repair Speed Up

The Deep End asks for another 10 warp on top of Poker Face and adds a real hostile grind, so it is worth checking both requirements together.

Tips

Send a ship you are not using for anything else. With no combat in the mission, any ship with the warp 150 range is enough, which leaves your main combat ship free for grinding or events.

Run Poker Face and The Deep End back to back if your ship can reach warp 160. The Deep End needs the 15 kills of level 48 or higher, so the ship you send there should be a combat ship; Poker Face can be done by whatever reaches Avofall first.

After The Deep End, the storyline continues with Trust Your Instincts, which has a choice split around following Maia’s instructions. That mission and the rest of the late storyline are listed on the Missionsleitfaden.
