Public Relations is a Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Starfleet needs an outside party for a secret operation in the Neutral Zone, so you scout Nelvana for General Molvak, destroy a Romulanisch Battleship of about 2.4 million strength, and report back to the Admiral. The mission is picked up in Alpha Centauri and needs warp 47 to start and to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the warp and the battleship are the real bar. The headline reward is 15,000,000 Parsteel and fifteen 3 Hour Speed Ups.
Public Relations objectives
Three objectives across two systems, with no choice split:
- Scout Nelvana for General Molvak. Location: Nelvana.
- Destroy the Romulan Battleship. Location: Nelvana. Enemy strength is roughly 2,423,081.
- Return to the Admiral. Location: Alpha Centauri.
The job is short. You fly from Alpha Centauri to Nelvana, scout it, and a Romulan Battleship guards the system. Beating it is the only fight. After that you return to the Admiral in Alpha Centauri, where the mission began, to close it out.

You pick up Public Relations in Alpha Centauri. The game lists warp 47 to start and warp 47 to complete, so if your ship can reach the pickup, it can reach Nelvana as well.
The recommended level is listed as 1. A Romulan Battleship at about 2.4 million strength is the practical requirement, and it needs a proper combat ship.

Public Relations has the toughest fight of the four and is the only Federation mission among them. It is also the only one paying general speed ups.
Tips
Bring your best battleship and a full hull. The Romulan Battleship is the only thing standing between you and the reward, and at 2.4 million strength it will punish a ship that arrives damaged.
Save the 3 Hour Speed Ups. Fifteen of them add up to 45 hours, which is most useful on a long building or research job at this stage of the game.
Put the Parsteel toward station upgrades. For scale, the R&D Department’s level 30 upgrade costs 15.9M Parsteel, so this reward nearly covers an upgrade of that size by itself.
Mind the Klingon loss. The mission takes 147,600 Klingon Points, which is more than the 100,000 Federation Points it pays, so check your Klingon standing first if you are building it.
