Kampftraining 9: Veteran

Combat Training 9: Veteran is the last tier of the level 9 combat training missions in Star Trek Fleet Command. It asks you to defeat a single hostile captain at roughly 1,903 strength, needs only warp 1, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 400 Dilithium, six 15 Minute Speed Ups and 2 T'Laan shards, and it unlocks Kampftraining 10: Rookie. It is one fight for the best payout of the level 9 set.

Combat Training 9: Veteran objectives

The story line is shared by all combat training Missionen: test your skills in battle against escalating difficulties of hostile enemies. There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Defeat the hostile captain. Enemy strength is roughly 1,903.

Where the Rookie and Soldier tiers count any hostile above a level, the Veteran tier gives you one scripted captain to beat.

Wo und welcher Warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system and no named location for the captain.

The recommended level is 1. The captain’s strength of roughly 1,903 is the real bar.

How it compares with nearby combat training

Current game data for the level 9 missions and their neighbours:

Mission Objective Belohnungen
Kampftraining 8: Rookie Defeat a hostile of level 8+ 95 Dilithium, 1 Gaila shard
Kampftraining 9: Rookie Defeat a hostile of level 9+ 160 Dilithium, 1 T’Laan shard
Kampftraining 9: Soldat Defeat 3 hostiles of level 9+ 240 Dilithium, 2,750 Officer XP, 1 T’Laan shard
Kampftraining 9: Veteran Defeat the hostile captain (about 1,903) 400 Dilithium, 6 15 Minute Speed Ups, 2 T’Laan shards
Kampftraining 10: Rookie Defeat a hostile of level 10+ 240 Dilithium, 1 Helvia shard

All three level 9 tiers pay T’Laan shards, four in total, and the Veteran tier pays two of them along with the most Dilithium.

About T’Laan

In the game data, T’Laan is a Gemeinsame officer. Her captain ability, Thorough Scans, gives 15% more Ship XP from battles. Her officer ability, Objective Defense, reduces the kinetic damage dealt by enemy hostiles by 5% to 20%, depending on rank. That makes her a handy pick for a ship that spends its time grinding hostiles.

Tips

Bring your best early combat ship. The captain at roughly 1,903 strength is tougher than the hostiles you fought for the Rookie and Soldier tiers.

Finish all three level 9 tiers if you want T’Laan. Together they pay four shards.

Use the speed ups on short timers. Six 15 Minute Speed Ups add up to 90 minutes, which is useful for early building upgrades. The rest of the series is on the combat training missions .
