Combat Training 46: Veteran is the top tier of the 46th Combat Training step in Star Trek Fleet Command. Its one objective is to defeat a hostile captain with an enemy strength of about 5,773,328. It starts and finishes at warp 1, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 23,625,000 Dilithium, fourteen 1 Day Speed Ups, 2,200 Ultra Recruit Tokens and six James T. Kirk shards, and completing it unlocks Combat Training 47: Rookie. The speed ups alone are two weeks of build time.
Combat Training 46: Veteran objectives
The series story line asks you to test your skills in battle against escalating difficulties of hostile enemies. There is one objective and no choice split:
- Defeat the hostile captain. Enemy strength is roughly 5,773,328.
The objective does not name a system. It is a single fight, so the whole tier rests on whether your ship can win it.
Wo und welcher Warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no fixed pickup system.
The game lists a recommended level of 1, but a captain at nearly 5.8 million strength is a late-game fight. Judge readiness by your ship’s power against that number, not by the listed level.
Combat Training 46: Veteran rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| Dilithium | 23,625,000 |
| 1 Day Speed Up | 14 |
| Ultra Recruit Token | 2,200 |
| James T. Kirk shards | 6 |
Completing this tier also unlocks the next mission in the series, Kampftraining 47: Rookie.
How the late Veteran captains compare
| Mission | Captain strength | Dilithium | 1 Day Speed Ups | Ultra Recruit Tokens | Kirk shards |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kampftraining 41: Veteran | ~1,124,459 | 5,642,000 | 13 | 1,700 | 3 |
| Kampftraining 45: Veteran | ~5,867,534 | 19,125,000 | 14 | 2,100 | 5 |
| Kampftraining 46: Veteran | ~5,773,328 | 23,625,000 | 14 | 2,200 | 6 |
| Kampftraining 48: Veteran | ~8,404,033 | 34,875,000 | 14 | 2,400 | 7 |
| Gefechtsausbildung 50: Veteran | ~11,862,502 | 68,625,000 | 15 | 3,200 | 8 |
Level 46 is an unusual step. Its captain is listed as slightly weaker than the level 45 captain, yet it pays 4,500,000 more Dilithium, 100 more Ultra Recruit Tokens and one more Kirk shard. After it, the jump to level 48 adds about 2.6 million to the captain’s strength.
Kirk shards from the Veteran tiers
From level 41 onward, every Veteran tier in this table pays James T. Kirk shards, and the count rises from three at level 41 to eight at level 50. Levels 41, 45, 46, 48 and 50 alone add up to 29 Kirk shards, which makes the late Combat Training Veteran fights a steady source of that officer.
Tips
If you cleared level 45, try level 46 straight away. On paper the captain is no tougher, and the rewards are better.
Use the 1 Day Speed Ups on the longest upgrades in your queue. Late station upgrades run for weeks or months, and fourteen days off one of them is where these speed ups count most.
Plan for the level 48 captain. At around 8.4 million strength it is a bigger wall than anything between levels 41 and 46. Other missions are listed on the Missionsleitfaden.
