Combat Training 19: Veteran is the last of the three level 19 combat training missions in Star Trek Fleet Command. Instead of a kill count, it asks you to defeat a single hostile captain at about 18,000 strength. It starts and finishes at warp 1 with no pickup system, and pays 12,000 Dilithium, 20 30 Minute Speed Ups, 150 Ultra Recruit Tokens and four Vixis shards. It is the best-paying of the level 19 tiers.

Combat Training 19: Veteran objectives

The story line is shared by the whole combat training series: test yourself against hostiles of rising difficulty. There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Defeat the hostile captain. Enemy strength is roughly 17,996.

No system is named for the captain, so there is no fixed location to plan a route around.

Wo und welcher Warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The recommended level is listed as 1, but the hostile captain at about 17,996 strength is what you actually need to beat.

Combat Training 19: Veteran rewards

Belohnung Amount
Dilithium 12,000
30 Minute Speed Up 20
Ultra Recruit Token 150
Vixis shards 4

Der Abschluss dieser Mission schaltet frei: Kampftraining 20: Rookie.

The 20 30 Minute Speed Ups add up to ten hours. The four Vixis shards and the Ultra Recruit Tokens are what set the Veteran tier apart from the Rookie and Soldier Missionen at this level.

The three level 19 tiers

Mission Objective Belohnungen
Kampftraining 19: Rookie 2 hostiles of level 19+ 4,800 Dilithium, 90 Recruit Tokens
Kampftraining 19: Soldat 8 hostiles of level 19+ 7,250 Dilithium, 26,000 Officer XP, 225 Premium Recruit Tokens
Kampftraining 19: Veteran Hostile captain, ~17,996 12,000 Dilithium, 20 30 Minute Speed Ups, 150 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 4 Vixis shards

How Veteran captains scale

Mission Captain strength Dilithium Officer shards
Kampftraining 18: Veteran ~16,758 8,000 3 Klaa
Kampftraining 19: Veteran ~17,996 12,000 4 Vixis
Kampftraining 21: Veteran ~36,701 27,000 8 Vartoq
Gefechtsausbildung 22: Veteran ~39,484 42,000 8 Rukor

The captain at level 19 is only slightly tougher than the one at level 18. By level 21 the captain’s strength has roughly doubled, so level 19 is one of the easier Veteran fights for its rewards.

Tips

Crew for a single fight. The captain is one target, so a crew built for a one-on-one battle is more useful here than one built for grinding.

Repair before you engage. With only one objective, entering at full hull is the simplest way to make sure the fight goes your way.

Keep the Vixis shards coming. Other combat training missions also pay Vixis shards at higher levels, so running the series steadily adds up. The full list is on the combat training missions .
