Intervention is an early story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you complete a bounty for the Romulan Star Empire. You look for a renegade bounty hunter and disable the hunter’s ship, and that is the whole mission. It is recommended for level 2, runs entirely at warp 1 and pays 100 Parsteel. It is one of the first combat steps in the opening storyline, and it unlocks the next mission straight away.

Intervention objectives

Es gibt zwei Ziele und keine Verzweigung:

  • Look for the renegade bounty hunter.
  • Disable the bounty hunter’s ship (enemy strength about 143).

Neither objective names a system. You search for the bounty hunter, then fight the hunter’s ship. At roughly 143 strength it is a very small target, sized for players who have only just started.

Wo und welcher Warp

Intervention has no pickup system. It needs warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, so your starting ship can do everything the mission asks.

The recommended level is 2, the same as the Missionen on either side of it. There is no route to plan and no range to upgrade before you start.

Intervention rewards

The reward is 100 Parsteel. Finishing the mission also unlocks the next one in the chain.

Intervention in the opening storyline

Intervention comes after Überwachung, where you prove your combat readiness to Subcommander Senolus, and before Kleiner Gefallen, where you rescue a Rigellian Captain who has crash landed his freighter.

Mission Recommended level Warp zum Abschließen Belohnungen
Überwachung 2 1 90 Parsteel
Intervention 2 1 100 Parsteel
Kleiner Gefallen 2 1 3 officer shards (Next Gen Crusher or Next Gen Data, depending on your choice) and 50 Officer XP

The three missions all stay at warp 1 and level 2. Surveillance and Intervention pay small amounts of Parsteel, and Small Favor switches the payout to officer shards.

Tips

Do not worry about the fight. The bounty hunter’s ship is listed at about 143 strength, which is small enough for the ship you start the game with.

If your ship took damage in Surveillance, you can usually go straight into Intervention, since a fight this small seldom needs a repair first.

Keep moving through the chain. The Parsteel here is minor, and the real point of Intervention is to reach Small Favor and the missions after it. For the full list of early missions and everything else sorted by level, see the STFC mission guide.
