IDIQ 2: Quantum Anomalies

IDIQ 2: Quantum Anomalies is the second of the three Quantum Anomalies missions in the IDIQ series, and in-game it is listed as Quantum Anomalies Part 2. You and Ahvix head into the galactic east, find one of Q’s Quantum Tesseracts stirring up the anomalies and then go to Q himself for help. The game lists a recommended level of 61, the mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 900 to complete, and it runs from Tel’Droht to Oprelian Eta and then Sol. Rewards include 500 Föderation Recruit Tokens and 800 1 Hour Speed Ups. The Tesseract fight, at about 3.5 billion strength, is the main hurdle.

IDIQ 2: Quantum Anomalies Part 2

The story line is to venture deeper into galactic anomaly space. In the far reaches of the Beta Quadrant the anomalies are worse than anything seen in the Origin Sector, and the cause turns out to be Q’s leftover installations.

  • Investigate the galactic east, in Tel’Droht.
  • Destroy the Tesseract, in Tel’Droht (enemy strength ~3,534,007,028).
  • Meet Q, in Oprelian Eta.
  • Defeat 3 hostiles of Level 60 or higher.
  • Speak with the Federation, in Sol.

The fight comes early. Right after you arrive in Tel’Droht you have to destroy a Quantum Tesseract, then the mission sends you back to the Origin Sector to meet Q in Oprelian Eta, through three level 60 hostiles and on to Sol. There is no choice split. Warp to complete: 900.

Rewards: 500 Federation Recruit Token, 800 1 Hour Speed Up, 31,000 6★ Broken Interceptor Parts, 360 Σ-Dilithium.

Finishing this mission opens IDIQ 3: Quantum Anomalies.

The Quantum Anomalies missions compared

All three missions are recommended for level 61. IDIQ 2 has both the longest trip and the strongest enemy of the set.

Mission Warp to complete Fights Belohnungen

IDIQ 2: Quantum Anomalies 900 Tesseract (~3.53 billion), 3 hostiles (level 60+) 500 Federation Recruit Token, 800 1 Hour Speed Up, 31,000 6★ Broken Interceptor Parts, 360 Σ-Dilithium

Tips for completing IDIQ 2: Quantum Anomalies

The game lists warp 900 to complete, which is far beyond most level 61 missions. Check your ship’s warp range before you commit, because the route goes from Tel’Droht in the galactic east all the way back to the Origin Sector.

The Tesseract at roughly 3,534,007,028 strength is the second objective, so you face it straight after arriving in Tel’Droht. Go in fully repaired with your strongest combat ship. The three level 60 hostiles later on are much easier.

After the Tesseract, the rest of the mission is travel and story. Repair on the way to Oprelian Eta if you need to.

Are the IDIQ 2: Quantum Anomalies rewards worth it?

Yes, if you can reach warp 900 and beat the Tesseract. The 800 1 Hour Speed Ups and 500 Federation Recruit Tokens are the headline, backed by 31,000 6★ Broken Interceptor Parts and 360 Σ-Dilithium. It also opens IDIQ 3, the only Quantum Anomalies mission that pays Cat Spock shards. For background on the anomalies, see the Origin Sector arc und die STFC mission guide.
