Hail the Glow Cloud II

Hail the Glow Cloud II is the follow-up to Hail the Glow Cloud I in Star Trek Fleet Command, and it closes the story of the particle cloud. You work with a scientist to free the trapped minds of the Klingon scientists, then return to the cloud at tugh’lI wov to disable a Klingon vessel. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 320 to complete. The reward is 150 15 Hour Speed Ups and 10,500,000 Dilithium, plus Klingon standing.

Hail the Glow Cloud II objectives

The story line is to free the trapped minds of the Klingon scientists. There are four objectives and no choice split:

  • Meet with a scientist. Location: Cypha.
  • Examine the cloud’s remains. Location: Bell’eu.
  • Return to the cloud. Location: tugh’lI wov.
  • Disable the Klingon vessel. Location: tugh’lI wov. Enemy strength around 33.7 million.

The first three steps are travel. The one fight is at the end, back at the cloud where Part I took place.

Wo und welcher Warp

There is no pickup system. The mission becomes available at warp 1 after Hail the Glow Cloud I, and warp 320 covers Cypha, Bell’eu and tugh’lI wov.

The game lists a recommended level of 1. The Klingon vessel, at around 33.7 million strength, is the real measure of whether you are ready.

Part I and Part II compared

Mission Warp to complete Fights Main rewards
Hail the Glow Cloud I 400 one or two, around 32 to 33 million 2,500 3 Hour Speed Ups or 1,700 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups, 1 KSG Datapad
Hail the Glow Cloud II 320 one, around 33.7 million 150 15 Hour Speed Ups, 10,500,000 Dilithium

Both parts pay the same 800 Klingon Credits, 2,900,000 Klingon Points and -5,846,400 Romulan Points. Part I is picked up in Kur’than; Part II needs less warp and has a single fight.

Tips

If you chose to free the Klingonen in Part I, the 10,500,000 Dilithium here pays back about a quarter of the 40M you spent.

Keep your combat ship for the last step only. A faster ship can handle the three travel legs, but the Klingon vessel needs a hull that can win a fight at around 33.7 million strength.

Other missions by level are on the mission guide.
