The Forsaken Scout is a Federation-space hostile that appears from level 71 to 80, always as an Explorer. It roams high-level deep-space systems and fights with Isolytic weapons and Apex Barrier mechanics, which puts it firmly in endgame territory. Kills drop 7-star Broken Interceptor Parts and 7-star Broken Survey Parts along with a shift in faction reputation. To beat it, bring a Battleship built for Apex combat.

How to beat the Forsaken Scout

The Forsaken Scout only shows up as an Explorer, so bring a Battleship. In the combat triangle Schlachtschiffe counter Explorers, and since this hostile never swaps hull type, there is nothing to change between levels 71 and 80. Because it fights with Isolytic weapons and an Apex Barrier, you want an Apex-capable Battleship carrying Isolytic weaponry rather than a standard ship.

The ship runs two always-active abilities. Something to Prove raises its Isolytic Damage (by 4,575% at level 71, scaling steeply to 39,365% at level 80) and strips part of your Apex Barrier the moment combat starts. Double Down boosts its own Isolytic Defense and adds an Apex Barrier that grows from 20,500 at level 71 to 64,750 at level 80 at the start of combat, and its Critical Damage cannot drop below 100%. Together that means a slow fight favors the Scout, since it reinforces its own defenses and lands heavy Isolytic hits, so aim to break its Apex Barrier fast rather than trade blows.

For crew, put a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles in the chair and fill the other seats with Offiziere that add damage or mitigation. Because this is high-level content (level 71 and up), an early cadet crew will not cut it. Check the Officer Tier List for current picks, and keep in mind crews shift with the meta.

Where to find the Forsaken Scout

The Forsaken Scout clusters in high-level systems that need a strong warp range to reach. The lowest level 71 spawns sit at warp 1550, while the level 80 ships push all the way out to warp 6000. Match your warp before you set a course.

Rewards and what it drops

Destroying a Forsaken Scout pays out in 7-star ship-building parts plus a swing in faction reputation. It grants Romulanisch and Klingon reputation while costing you Federation reputation, so weigh your standing before you grind it. Ship XP scales with level, climbing from 57,000 at level 71 to 118,500 at level 80.

7-star Broken Survey Parts Top-tier parts for building and upgrading 7-star survey ships
Romulan Points Romulan faction Ruf
Klingon Points Klingonenfraktion Ruf
Federation Points Federation reputation, which drops on each kill

Is the Forsaken Scout worth grinding?

It is worth it if you need 7-star Broken Interceptor or Survey Parts, which feed high-end ship builds, and it hands out solid Romulan and Klingon reputation plus heavy ship XP along the way. The catch is the Federation reputation you lose and the Apex-tier ship it demands, so it suits players already deep into Isolytic combat. Match your warp to the level you want, bring an Apex Battleship, and hit hard early to beat its self-reinforcing defenses.
