Ein verfeinerter Gaumen

A Refined Palate is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission in which you help a gourmand prepare the feast of a lifetime. It is recommended for level 47, is picked up in Maumo, and needs warp 150 to start and warp 160 to complete. You hunt down a Taloran Bunnicorn in Talora, meet a wine dealer in Izbrig, pay for the wine in Dilithium and bring the ingredients to Chef Armond in Maumo. There is no combat. Both wine choices pay 650,834,000 Parsteel and 355,000 Officer XP, plus either 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens or 400 Latinum.

A Refined Palate objectives

The first three steps are shared:

  • Find the elusive Taloran Bunnicorn. Location: Talora.
  • Meet with the wine dealer. Location: Izbrig.
  • What wine should we procure?

The wine question is a choice split. The two paths differ only in price and in one reward line.

Path 1: the more expensive wine

  • Pay 1.75M Dilithium.
  • Bring the ingredients to Chef Armond. Location: Maumo.

Path 2: the cheaper wine

  • Pay 975,000 Dilithium.
  • Bring the ingredients to Chef Armond. Location: Maumo.

Wo und welcher Warp

A Refined Palate is picked up in Maumo. It needs warp 150 to start and warp 160 to complete, so it is strictly a late-game run. The route runs Maumo, Talora, Izbrig, then back to Maumo for the hand-off to Chef Armond. The recommended level is 47.

A Refined Palate rewards

Belohnung Path 1 (1.75M Dilithium) Path 2 (975,000 Dilithium)
Parsteel 650,834,000 650,834,000
Officer XP 355,000 355,000
Ultra Recruit Token 400 keine
Latinum keine 400

A Refined Palate does not unlock a follow-up mission in the current game data.

Which wine to buy

The Parsteel and Officer XP are identical on both paths, so the decision is simple. Paying an extra 775,000 Dilithium on Path 1 swaps 400 Latinum for 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens.

If Dilithium is tight, Path 2 is the obvious pick: it costs 44% less and still pays the full Parsteel and Officer XP. If you have Dilithium to spare and want recruit tokens for officer pulls, Path 1 converts that Dilithium into tokens. Players saving Latinum for their own purchases will prefer Path 2 on both counts.

Tips

Check your warp first. You need warp 150 just to accept the mission from Maumo and warp 160 to finish it, so a ship that falls short will not get far.

Send a non-combat ship if you like. There are no fights, so a long-range ship with the warp is all you need.

Have the Dilithium in hand before you reach Izbrig. The payment is the fourth objective, and the ingredients cannot go to Chef Armond until it is made.

The Parsteel is the headline. At more than 650 million, it is a big contribution toward high-level building upgrades. Every mission by level is on the Missionsleitfaden.
