Duty-bound is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission tied to the Vulcan Secret Service. You intercept a Starfleet surveyor who has evidence of the service, sabotaging a maintenance vessel and disabling a scouting vessel in Sol before reporting to Administrator S’Lona in Maluria. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 40 to complete. The reward is 30,000 Tritanium. It is a short mission with two fights of equal strength.
Duty-bound objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Sabotage the Starfleet Maintenance vessel. Location: Sol. Enemy strength around 2.1 million.
- Fly to Vega III to avoid suspicion. Location: Sol.
- Disable the Scouting Vessel. Location: Sol. Enemy strength around 2.1 million.
- Return to Administrator S’Lona. Location: Maluria.
The first three steps are all in Sol, with the detour to Vega III between the two fights. The last step brings you back to Maluria.
Wo und welcher Warp
There is no pickup system. Duty-bound starts at warp 1 and needs warp 40 to reach Sol.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The two ships at around 2.1 million strength and the warp 40 range are what you need to plan for.
Duty-bound rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tritanium | 30,000 |
Tritanium is the only reward, and the mission does not unlock a follow-up.
Duty-bound and the other New Vulcan missions
Duty-bound shares its setting and enemy strength with three other missions:
| Mission | Warp to complete | Fights | Belohnung |
|---|---|---|---|
| By Any Means | 40 | Corvallen Veteran, around 2.1 million | 25 Dilithium |
| Duty-bound | 40 | two ships, around 2.1 million each | 30,000 Tritanium |
| Mediator | 40 | die Valdore, around 2.1 million | 200,000 Parsteel |
| Forsaken Logic | 5 | one ship on one path, around 2.1 million | 30,000 Tritanium or 5,000 Dilithium |
All four list a recommended level of 1, start at warp 1 and follow the Vulcan and Romulanisch politics around New Vulcan.
Duty-bound is the only one of the four with two fights, and it pays the same 30,000 Tritanium as the combat path of Forsaken Logic.
Tips
Take a combat ship that can handle two fights at around 2.1 million strength. The detour to Vega III gives you a short break between them, since it is a travel step.
Mediator sends you to Sol at the same warp 40 and pays 200,000 Parsteel for a single fight, so it is worth running both on the same trip. Other missions by level are on the mission guide.
