Time Is A River is a Progenitor storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you race to find the last piece of the Progenitor log. It can be accepted at warp 1, but completing it takes warp 120, and the recommended level is listed as 1. You travel to Independent space, bring an object home, and finish by upgrading Engine Tech to level 45. The reward is 8,160,000 Dilithium and 90 100K Dilithium Tokens, a large Dilithium haul for three objectives.
Time Is A River objectives
There are three objectives, in order, with no choice split:
- Travel to Independent space. Location: Mayush-yush.
- Return the object to your Station.
- Upgrade Engine Tech to level 45.
The first two steps are travel. You fly out to Mayush-yush in Independent space, and the next step has you bring the object back to your station. The third step is a station upgrade: Engine Tech has to reach level 45 before the mission completes. There is no fight at any point.
Wo und welcher Warp
No pickup system is listed, and warp 1 is enough to accept the mission. Warp 120 is needed to complete it, because Mayush-yush is the destination for the first objective. That is a long way out, and it is the first of the two real gates on this mission.
The second gate is Engine Tech 45. The recommended level is 1, but the warp 120 trip and the Engine Tech 45 upgrade are the numbers that decide when you can finish it. Plan around those two, not the level.

Tips
Check Engine Tech before anything else. The upgrade to level 45 is the only step that is not a trip, and if your Engine Tech is still well short of 45, that upgrade is what will hold the mission open after the flying is done. Look at the requirements for Engine Tech 45 early so you know what it will cost.
Send a ship with the range. There is no fight, but reaching Mayush-yush needs warp 120, so whichever ship you pick has to have that range. Combat power does not matter here, only warp.
Count the Dilithium correctly. The 90 100K Dilithium Tokens are worth 9,000,000 Dilithium between them at face value, so together with the flat 8,160,000 the mission pays more than 17 million Dilithium in total.
The Progenitor story runs across several Missionen at high warp. Ignorance is Bliss (warp 105 to complete) has you investigate the Progenitors, and Close Encounters (warp 110) sends you to intercept a Federation envoy before they reach them. Every other mission by level is on the Missionsleitfaden.
