Ignorance is Bliss

Ignorance Is Bliss is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission tied to the Progenitors storyline. It starts close to New Vulcan space and finishes far out at Perralon 472, a warp 105 trip at its furthest point. Along the way you recover a mysterious object, gather a Deep Space Datapad, and donate a G4 Datapad. Finishing it hands over a stack of 4-star selten refined materials and opens the next step in the arc.

The hook is a piece of Progenitor technology that needs to be found, understood, and delivered to a group of aliens waiting deep out in the galaxy. The search begins in familiar territory near New Vulcan, then hands you two collection tasks before the long haul out. The travel and those two gated objectives are what make this one worth planning rather than rushing, since a player who arrives without a G4 Datapad or Deep Space access will stall partway through.

Ignorance Is Bliss objectives

The mission runs four objectives in order:

  • Find the object in New Vulcan space, in the Aschentor System.
  • Collect 1 Deep Space Datapad by completing Missionen in Deep Space.
  • Donate 1 G4 Datapad.
  • Bring the object to the aliens in Perralon 472.

There is no branching choice here. Every player runs the same four steps in the same order.

Wo und welcher Warp

Pickup sits close to home. The first step needs only warp 1 to reach the object in Ash-tor, in New Vulcan space. The final handoff is the long one. Perralon 472 is a warp 105 destination, so the mission pulls you well out into deep space before it closes. Sort out the fuel and the route for that last jump before you begin, because it is the single biggest travel cost in the whole mission.

Ignorance Is Bliss rewards

Completing the mission pays out refined materials at the 4-star rare tier:

  • 32 4-star Rare Refined Kristall
  • 32 4-star Rare Refined Gas
  • 32 4-star Rare Refined Erze

Completing it also opens the next mission in the Progenitors arc, so the payout is the refined stockpile plus story progression. Count the material as the loot and the unlock as the reason to keep going.

Tips

Two objectives gate the rest, so line them up early. The Deep Space Datapad drops from completing missions in Deep Space, which means you need Deep Space access and a few runs banked before that step will clear. The G4 Datapad donation is the other bottleneck. G4 is a grade-4 material tier, so have one ready or craft it ahead of time instead of stalling halfway through the mission.

Because the last objective sends you to Perralon 472 at warp 105, top off fuel and take a ship with the range to make the jump without a refuel stop. If your daily grind or armada route already passes through Deep Space, fold the datapad collection into that loop so this mission costs almost no extra travel. The refined materials you earn sit at the same 4-star rare tier used for mid-game refits and research, so the reward slots straight into whatever build you are working toward.
