Mission Die große Tribble-Jagd

The Great Tribble Hunt sends you after a runaway Tribble population, starting in a Klingon doctor’s lab and ending at Tribble Prime. The mission opens at level 1, but a boss fight against Doctor Eustace and a warp 75 finish mean most players run it with a much stronger fleet. The payoff is 6,000 Latinum, refined Kristall, and a large boost to your Klingon standing, set against a hit to your Romulan reputation.

The Great Tribble Hunt objectives

The hunt mixes one combat step with a run of Tribble-gathering objectives, bouncing between four systems before it wraps at Tribble Prime. Work through them in order:

  • finden. the doctor in Klopp.
  • Defeat Doctor Eustace in Klopp (enemy strength around 2.7 million).
  • Find the Tribbles in Ra’taj.
  • Gather 1,000 Tribbles.
  • Find the Tribbles in Hurgh’maQ.
  • Gather 2,000 Tribbles.
  • Return to Tribble Prime in the Fafniri system.
  • Return 3,000 Tribbles to Tribble Prime.

The three gathering steps climb from 1,000 to 2,000 to 3,000 Tribbles, so the back half of the mission is the longest stretch of work.

Where and what warp

The Great Tribble Hunt starts at warp 1, so the pickup sits close to the early galaxy in Klopp. Finishing it is another story. The trail runs from Klopp out through Ra’taj and Hurgh’maQ before closing at Tribble Prime in the Fafniri system, and that last leg pushes out to warp 75. The recommended level is 1, which is when the mission unlocks rather than a measure of how easy it is. Doctor Eustace and the deep-warp travel are the real gate, not your level. Only that one step is a fight; the rest of the mission is travel and Tribble collection, so a single strong combat ship carries you through the hard part.

The Great Tribble Hunt rewards

Completing the mission grants:

Belohnung Amount
Latinum 6,000
4★ Ungewöhnlich Veredelter Kristall 180
Klingon Credits 600
Klingon reputation +311,000
Romulan reputation -427,936

The Latinum, refined crystal, and Klingon Credits go straight into your stores for buying and upgrading, while the reputation swing shifts your standing with two factions at once. This is a standalone mission, so nothing here unlocks a further part.

Tips

Do not let the level 1 recommendation fool you. Doctor Eustace lands at roughly 2.7 million strength, and the warp 75 finish puts the closing systems well outside early-game range. Pick the mission up whenever it appears, then come back once your fleet can win that fight and your warp range can reach Fafniri.

Watch the faction math before you commit. The Great Tribble Hunt pours a large amount into your Klingon standing but knocks your Romulan reputation down by more than 400,000 points. If you are working toward Romulan rewards or reputation-locked ships, that loss can set you back, so time this mission for a stretch when you are leaning Klingon.

Clear each gathering objective in its named system before you warp on. Because the Tribble counts stack up across Ra’taj, Hurgh’maQ, and the return to Tribble Prime, finishing a system fully saves you a second trip back through deep warp. There are no donation objectives to prepare for, so the only thing to stockpile ahead of time is warp fuel for the run out to Fafniri.
