Debts and Deaths is a level 54 Immortal side mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you deal with a Nausicaan lender who is pressing an Immortal named Losah for money. You pick it up in Mons Mortis at warp 285, and it needs warp 285 to complete. You choose whether to pay her 40 million Dilithium debt or scare the Nausicaans off. Both paths end in a fight with the lender Korak and pay the same rewards, so the free path is the better deal.
Debts and Deaths objectives
Losah borrowed from Korak to pay for her escape into Immortal space, expecting to earn the money back once she settled. That never happened, and she fears the Nausicaans will collect by force. She owes 40M Dilithium.
- Find the Nausicaans. Location: Hilo.
- What should we do? Maia asks how to deal with the Nausicaans.
Path 1: pay Losah’s debt
You hand over the payment, but Korak says it does not cover the interest and wants more. When Maia refuses, he attacks.
- Pay 40M Dilithium to pay off Losah’s debt.
- Defeat Korak. Location: Hilo.
- Return to Losah. Location: Mons Mortis.
Path 2: scare the Nausicaans off
You target one of Korak’s debt collectors to send a message. Korak hails you, furious that someone attacked his fleet, and comes after you himself.
- Defeat Korak’s lackey. Location: Hilo.
- Defeat Korak. Location: Hilo.
- Return to Losah. Location: Mons Mortis.
On both paths Losah is relieved to be free of Korak, whom she describes as a lender who preyed on people with nowhere else to turn. On the payment path she admits that, strictly speaking, Korak was owed the interest.
Wo und welcher Warp
The pickup system is Mons Mortis, which needs warp 285. The same warp is enough to complete the mission, since every fight happens in Hilo and you finish back in Mons Mortis. The recommended level is 54. No enemy strength is listed for Korak or his lackey.

Debts and Deaths is a standalone mission and does not unlock a follow-up.
Tips
Paying the debt does not avoid the fight. Korak attacks either way, so the only thing the payment buys you is skipping the fight with his lackey, at a price of 40 million Dilithium. Unless you have Dilithium to spare and want to save a single battle, scaring the Nausicaans off is the better choice.
Mons Mortis is also the pickup for Tal Shiar Burglary II, another level 54 Immortal mission at warp 285 that pays a Romulan Immortal Datapad. Taking both on one visit gives you two datapads.
