Bottom of the Barrel is a level 28 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you turn to Mudd for help and bring him to Khan. It can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to finish, with Mudd waiting in Skarrl. The mission ends with a fight against a group of Klingonen at about 305,000 strength. The rewards are 32,000 Dilithium and 19 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups, and it sits between Target Acquired and Digging in the Dirt in the story.

The first step takes you to Skarrl to find Mudd. The second is a delivery to Khan; no system is named for it. The last step is the only fight, against the Klingons at about 305,058 strength, and completing it finishes the mission. There is no return-to-station step.

Bottom of the Barrel has no named pickup system and can be picked up at warp 1. Completing it takes warp 20. The recommended level is 28.
The Klingon fight is the real test. At roughly 305,000 strength it sits right alongside the fights in the Missionen before and after it, so a ship that handled Target Acquired is ready for this one.

Nineteen 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups come to 4 hours 45 minutes of repair time, which suits a stretch of the story built around fights near 300,000 strength.

All three share the same recommended level and warp around 20. The story runs from investigating the Romulan theft of Augment blood, through this mission’s detour to Mudd, into looking at the Romulan experiments.
Digging in the Dirt asks for a 5,000,000 Parsteel donation, so the Parsteel from Target Acquired is worth holding on to until then.
Tips
Bring your combat ship from the start. The mission is short, and the Klingon fight is the final step, so there is no easy point to swap ships.
Save the repair speed ups for Digging in the Dirt. Its Romulan ship is another fight near 300,000 strength.
Line up the Parsteel for the next mission. The 5,000,000 donation in Digging in the Dirt is the biggest cost in this part of the story.
