Dark One is a level 57 Romulanisch mission in Star Trek Fleet Command about an artificial intelligence gone wrong in Immortal space. The Immortal scientist Soldak tried to build an AI modelled on your ship’s own, and it has run off with his research. The mission is picked up in Kiyratari at warp 320 and needs warp 440 to complete. At the end you decide whether to destroy the AI’s core or bring it back to the lab. Both choices pay the same reward: four 5★ Ungewöhnlich Battleship Parts, a Romulan Immortal Datapad, 800 Romulan Credits and 3,600,000 Romulan Points.
Dark One objectives
Soldak hoped an AI like yours would make Immortal ships strong enough to face the Romulans. His creation, Celaeno, turned out violent and unpredictable. She has taken remote control of the ship holding all his research and hidden her core so it cannot be shut down.
- Find the research ship. Location: Lyklaset.
- Disable the vessel. Location: Lyklaset.
- Recover the AI research. Location: Lyklaset.
- Find Celaeno. Location: Dairuum.
- Shut Celaeno down. Location: Dairuum.

With the research recovered, your ship’s AI runs the Daten against its own programming and predicts that Celaeno is searching deeper into Immortal space for a reason to exist. In Dairuum an unknown ship arrives carrying her core, and she turns hostile when Soldak orders her destroyed. After you shut her down, Soldak wants to finish the job, while your AI argues that Celaeno is alive. Soldak puts the question to you.
Destroy it
- Destroy the AI Core. Location: Dairuum.
A single torpedo at the edge of the system ends Celaeno, and Soldak later scraps most of the research behind her.
Bring it back to the lab
- Bring the AI Core back to the lab. Location: Kalalisko.
Soldak agrees to keep working on Celaeno, with much stronger failsafes in her code.

The pickup system is Kiyratari, which needs warp 320. Completing the mission needs warp 440. The research ship is in Lyklaset and Celaeno is found in Dairuum. The destroy path finishes in Dairuum, while the lab path adds one more trip, to Kalalisko. The recommended level is 57.

Dark One is a standalone mission and does not unlock a follow-up part.
Tips
Since the reward is the same either way, the choice is purely about the story, and about travel. Destroying the core ends the mission in Dairuum, one step sooner. Taking it to the lab means a last jump to Kalalisko.
Disabling the research ship and shutting Celaeno down are the combat steps, and no enemy strength is listed for either. The recommended level of 57 is the best guide.
