Catching a Killer I is a level 54 Immortal mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you help Detective Olgak investigate a string of murders in Immortal space. You pick it up in Necrocormeum at warp 285, and it needs warp 285 to complete. There are six objectives across four systems, no fights and no choice split. The reward is 7,000 5★ Gemeinsame Refined Ore and a Romulan Immortal Datapad, and finishing it unlocks Catching a Killer II. It is an easy mission for anyone already running Immortal content at this level.
Catching a Killer I objectives
Olgak wants the case kept quiet and asks for an outsider’s help. There have been two murders with no obvious link between the victims, and three suspects were near both scenes: the former Senator Naroth, the merchant Amalia and the engineer Azot.
- Inspect the crime scene at the mining station. Location: Timvir.
- Inspect another crime scene. Location: Magnus.
- Speak with the witness. Location: Magnus.
- Investigate the scene of the attempted murder. Location: Scanlon.
- Follow the warp trail. Location: Omana.
- Inspect the abandoned cargo ship. Location: Omana.
Each suspect has a link to the victims. The first, a merchant at an old mining rig, was killed by a blow to the head, and Amalia was at the market that day. The victim also opposed Naroth’s politics, and Azot’s company was repairing the rig’s security. The second, a former Senator and rival of Naroth, was poisoned through a bottle of Romulanisch Ale he had bought from Amalia, while Azot had been upgrading his security system.
Then comes a third attack that fails. The survivor, Prytha, saw only a hooded figure in long robes escape to a shuttle. You follow a faint warp trail to a cargo ship, but it is empty and the killer is gone. Olgak promises to call you when the trail picks up again.

The pickup system is Necrocormeum. Warp 285 is needed both to start and to complete, so the ship that can reach the pickup can finish every step. The recommended level is 54.

The Catching a Killer missions
The case runs over three missions, all recommended for level 54. Only this first one has a pickup system; the other two start at warp 1.

Tips
None of the six objectives is a fight, so the ship you send only needs warp 285. You can leave your main combat ship free for other work.
Keep notes on the clues. In Catching a Killer II you have to name one of the three suspects, and the choice changes both the objectives and the rewards.
