Observation of History is an early Star Trek Fleet Command mission, recommended for level 5, in which you investigate a second anomaly and compare it to the first. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 5 to finish. Everything happens in Aoro: you investigate, donate 40 Tritanium to the Independents and defeat a Suliban ship. The reward is 2,400 Parsteel and 300 Tritanium, and it unlocks Conflict of Interest. It is a quick step in an early anomaly storyline.
Observation of History objectives

- Investigate the anomaly. Location: Aoro.
- Donate 40 Tritanium to the Independents.
- Defeat the Suliban ship. Location: Aoro (enemy strength ~272).
You reach the anomaly in Aoro, make a small Tritanium donation to the Independents and then deal with a Suliban ship in the same system. There is no return step, so the mission ends in Aoro.
Wo und welcher Warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 5 to complete, with no pickup system. Aoro is the only system involved.
The recommended level is 5. The Suliban ship at about 272 strength is a very light fight, in line with the level.

The anomaly storyline
This mission follows up the first anomaly from Remains of the Ancients, and the story then moves toward the Derelicts:

All four stay at warp 5, and the Parsteel grows with each step. Remains of the Ancients is the only one with an officer shard, for Grace Chen.
Tips
Keep at least 40 Tritanium on hand. It is a tiny amount, but at level 5 a new player can run low, and the donation comes before the Suliban fight.
The Suliban ship is not a threat to any ship that can reach level 5 Missionen, so there is no need to prepare beyond having your ship repaired.
Run this chain in order while you are in the low levels. The rewards are small, but the Parsteel adds up across the four missions to 11,200, plus Tritanium and a Grace Chen shard, and it all comes from short trips.
