Unearthed is a five-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain in which the Enterprise crew digs up a mysterious artifact and then has to decide who gets to keep it. It is recommended for level 40, starts at an excavation site in Yreva, and needs warp 70 for every part except Part 4 (warp 61). Choices in Parts 2, 3 and 5 change your route and some rewards. Across the chain you earn two batches of Jean-Luc Picard shards, 750 Axionic Chips, 125 million Parsteel and a large amount of Officer XP. It is expensive, but the Picard shards make it worth running.

Tips for completing Unearthed
Plan the resource costs before you start. Part 1 asks for 150M Parsteel (you get 125M back on completion), the paid option in Part 3 costs 19M Tritanium, and Part 4 needs 4M Dilithium. None of these can be skipped except the Part 3 payment.
The Part 3 choice is the one that matters. Fighting for the item costs nothing up front and pays 18.9M Tritanium, so it is almost a straight refund of what the bribe would cost. Paying 19M Tritanium instead gets you 4.2M Dilithium and 315,000 Officer XP. If your ship can beat a 4.3M-strength enemy, fighting is the cheaper route; if you need Officer XP more than Tritanium, pay.
Warp 70 is required on four of the five parts. Check that the ship you plan to use reaches it before starting, since the chain moves between Yreva, Zlim’kach or Dashai, Tovla and Hurgh’maQ or Mina.
Hostile grinds appear in Parts 1, 3, 4 and 5, with 5 kills each in the first three and 10 in the last, all at level 40 or higher. The two named fights (about 4.30M and 4.34M strength) are the hardest steps.
In Part 2 and Part 5, pick the path whose 4★ refined resource you are short on. Everything else in those rewards is the same. More chains at this level are in the Missionsleitfaden.
Are the Unearthed rewards worth it?
Yes, if you want Jean-Luc Picard. Parts 1 and 5 both give his shards, and the chain adds 750 Axionic Chips, 125M Parsteel, at least 245,000 Officer XP (560,000 if you pay in Part 3) and 14 one-day speed-ups. The costs are real, especially the 150M Parsteel up front, but most of it is returned, and the combat is sized for level 40.
