Cut-Off Point is a level 30 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you ambush a weapons convoy and steal its shipment. It can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 22 to finish, with every system objective in Shynna. Along the way you clear eight level 29+ hostiles and stop a cargo ship at about 296,000 strength. The rewards are 404,000 Tritanium plus 90 hours of speed ups.

Cut-Off Point objectives

There are five objectives and no choice split:

  • Ambush the cargo ships. Location: Shynna.
  • Defeat 8 Hostiles of Level 29 or Higher.
  • Stop the cargo ship. Location: Shynna. Enemy strength is roughly 296,419.
  • Steal the shipment. Location: Shynna.
  • Return to your Station.

The mission opens in Shynna with the ambush. The second step is a hostile grind: eight kills against hostiles of level 29 or higher, with no system named, so any qualifying hostile counts.

Back in Shynna, you stop the cargo ship, which is the one named fight, and then steal the shipment. The final step brings you home to collect the rewards.

Where and what warp

Cut-Off Point has no named pickup system and can be picked up at warp 1. Completing it takes warp 22, the range you need to reach Shynna. The recommended level is 30.

The cargo ship at roughly 296,419 strength is the real check. The level 29+ hostile grind before it is a good warm-up and tells you whether your ship is ready.

1 Day Speed Up 2

What the speed ups add up to

The fourteen 3 Hour Speed Ups come to 42 hours, and the two 1 Day Speed Ups add another 48, for 90 hours in total. At level 30, building and research timers routinely run for days, so this is a useful stack to hold on to.

The 404,000 Tritanium is the other half of the value, and it goes straight toward building upgrades.

Shynna in other missions

Shynna shows up in other missions too, including Absolution Part 1 and Bubble Bubble Toil and Tribble. If you have more than one of these open, plan your trips so a single visit covers several objectives.

Tips

Do the hostile kills near Shynna. You have to go back there for the cargo ship and the theft, so farming level 29+ hostiles nearby saves a long flight.

Repair before stopping the cargo ship. Eight kills against level 29+ hostiles will wear your hull down, and the cargo ship is close to 300,000 strength.

Save the 1 Day Speed Ups for long upgrades. A single day off a multi-day building timer is worth more than spreading them across short tasks.
