Common Enemy is a Klingon story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with a short brief: fight back. The game lists a recommended level of 1; it starts at warp 1 and needs warp 17 to complete. After answering a distress signal in Krah’Hor, you choose to defend a D3 from Starfleet or the repair ships from the Romulans. Each path has two fights, at roughly 104,274 and 129,975 power. Both pay 150 Klingon Credits and 3,100 Klingon Points, and finishing unlocks Up in Flames.

Common Enemy objectives

The mission opens with two shared steps:

  • Investigate the distress signal in Krah’Hor. Location: Krah’Hor.
  • Choose where to defend.

Defend the D3 from Starfleet

  • Defeat the Starfleet Destroyer. Location: Krah’Hor. Enemy strength is roughly 104,274.
  • Defeat the Starfleet Battleship. Location: Krah’Hor. Enemy strength is roughly 129,975.
  • Return to Khitomer. Location: Khitomer.

Defend the repair ships from the Romulans

  • Defeat the Romulan bomber. Location: Krah’Hor. Enemy strength is roughly 104,274.
  • Defeat the Romulan Augur. Location: Krah’Hor. Enemy strength is roughly 129,975.
  • Return to Khitomer. Location: Khitomer.

The two paths are matched fight for fight in strength. Only the enemy faction and the rewards differ.

Where and what warp

Common Enemy is available from warp 1 and needs warp 17 to complete. Both fights on either path are in Krah’Hor, and you finish at Khitomer.

The recommended level is listed as 1. The second fight on each path, at about 129,975, is the one to prepare for.

Common Enemy rewards

Reward Defend the D3 Defend the repair ships
Klingon Recruit Token 250 None
3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal 17 None
Ultra Recruit Token None 600
3★ Common Refined Ore None 1,200
Klingon Credits 150 150
Klingon Points 3,100 3,100
Romulan Points -2,579 -2,579

Completing either path unlocks the next mission, Up in Flames.

Which choice to pick

Since the fights are equal, choose by reward. Defending the D3 pays 250 Klingon Recruit Tokens and 17 3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal. Defending the repair ships pays 600 Ultra Recruit Tokens and 1,200 3★ Common Refined Ore. Unless you specifically want Klingon Recruit Tokens, the repair ship path is the stronger pick: 600 Ultra Recruit Tokens against 250 Klingon ones, plus a large stack of refined ore.

How it fits the storyline

Mission Warp to complete Strongest fight Klingon Points
Backlash 17 Scout’s ship, about 104,274 2,000
Common Enemy 17 About 129,975 3,100
Up in Flames 17 USS Archimedes, about 133,020 3,100

Backlash comes directly before Common Enemy, and the storyline begins with The More Things Change. Up in Flames keeps the same warp and Klingon rewards but has three fights near 130,000.

Tips

Repair between the two fights if you need to. Both are in Krah’Hor, and the second is about a quarter stronger than the first. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
