Butterfly Effect is a single mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you help the Andorian colonists on Weytahn repair a fault in their defense grid. It is picked up in Zosam, needs warp 64 both to start and to complete, and has a recommended level of 1. The mission is a supply run between Axanar and Zosam with a 6 million Tritanium donation in the middle and no fight. The reward is 700 4★ Common Refined Gas and 80 4★ Uncommon Refined Gas, and it unlocks The Fall of Weytahn.
Butterfly Effect objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Check in with the Andorians on Weytahn. Location: Axanar.
- Go to Zosam and collect the components for the sensor antenna. Location: Zosam.
- Donate 6M Tritanium in exchange for the sensor antenna components.
- Return the antenna components to the Andorians on Weytahn. Location: Axanar.
Weytahn is in Axanar, so the mission is a round trip. You check in with the colonists, fly to Zosam for the antenna components, pay 6 million Tritanium for them, and carry them back to Weytahn. There is no combat at any point.
Where and what warp
Butterfly Effect is picked up in Zosam. It needs warp 64 to start and warp 64 to complete, so the range that gets you to Zosam also covers the trips to Axanar. The recommended level is 1, but the 6 million Tritanium is the real requirement.
The route doubles back on itself. You pick the mission up in Zosam, go to Axanar for the first objective, return to Zosam for the components, and finish in Axanar again, so expect to cross between the two systems three times.

Butterfly Effect and The Fall of Weytahn compared
The next mission turns the repaired colony into a battlefield, as a Suliban assault hits Weytahn. It is a very different job:

The Fall of Weytahn needs less warp to complete than Butterfly Effect but asks for a combat ship that can take on a Suliban Hunter at nearly 2 million strength.
Tips
Stockpile 6 million Tritanium before you reach Zosam. The donation is what buys the antenna components, and the mission cannot continue without it.
Any ship with warp 64 range will do. There is no fight, so a survey or mining ship is fine here.
