Brave New Worlds is a level 5 station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command about finding a better spot for your station. It stays at warp 1 from start to finish, and all four objectives are scouting steps plus one return home. The reward is 230 Officer XP, and finishing it unlocks Deep Space. It is a short early-game step that teaches you to look around before relocating.
Brave New Worlds objectives
The story line asks you to move the Station to a more valuable strategic position. There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Scout a more valuable system where you can move your Station.
- Scout another nearby system for potential base locations.
- Return to Station.
- Scout out potential new systems for future relocation.
No system is named for any step, so you choose which nearby systems to scout. There are no hostiles and no donations.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete. The scouting targets are nearby systems, so a starting ship can do all of it.
The recommended level is 5.
Brave New Worlds rewards
The reward is 230 Officer XP. Completing it unlocks Deep Space.
Missions before and after
| Mission | Recommended level | Warp to complete | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Multitasking (before) | 5 | 1 | 4,000 Parsteel, 1 Relocation Token |
| Brave New Worlds | 5 | 1 | 230 Officer XP |
| Deep Space (after) | 6 | 1 | 3,000 Parsteel |
Multitasking hands you a Relocation Token just before this mission, which fits the story: you scout here, and the token lets you move once you have found a spot you like.
Tips
Use the scouting steps to actually compare systems. Look at which mining nodes and hostile levels are nearby, since that is what makes a location more valuable for your station.
You do not have to relocate to finish the mission. The objectives only ask you to scout and return, so you can keep the Relocation Token for later.
