Beneficiary is a main storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you investigate a Romulan signal in Wololo and then decide how to deal with the Romulans. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but it needs warp 150 to finish, and one of its two paths has fights at nearly 6 million strength. The split is clear: pay 4 million Dilithium for 4★ refined ore, or fight two Romulan ships for 4★ Uncommon ship parts.

Beneficiary objectives

Both paths share the opening steps:

  • Find the Romulan signal. Location: Wololo.
  • Decide how to deal with the Romulans.

Romulan path: pay and search

  • Donate 4M Dilithium to the Romulans.
  • Find the Progenitors. Location: Odin.
  • Return to your Station.

Rewards for this path: 28 4★ Rare Refined Ore and 100 4★ Uncommon Refined Ore.

Second path: fight

  • Defeat the Legionary. Location: Wololo. Enemy strength is roughly 5,867,534.
  • Defeat the Gladius. Location: Wololo. Enemy strength is roughly 5,649,811.
  • Return to your Station.

Rewards for this path: 130 4★ Uncommon Battleship Parts and 130 4★ Uncommon Interceptor Parts.

The Romulan path works with the Romulans. You pay them, then travel on to Odin to find the Progenitors. The fighting path stays in Wololo and turns on the Romulans instead, with two back-to-back fights. Both paths end with a return to your station, and either one unlocks the next mission.

Where and what warp

There is no pickup system, and the mission becomes available at warp 1. Completing it needs warp 150. Wololo is the first stop on both paths, and the Romulan path adds a trip to Odin.

The recommended level shows as 1. In practice warp 150 and, on the fighting path, two enemies close to 6 million strength are the real bar.

Beneficiary rewards

Path Cost to you Rewards
Romulan path 4,000,000 Dilithium 28 4★ Rare Refined Ore, 100 4★ Uncommon Refined Ore
Fighting path Two fights of about 5.6 to 5.9 million strength 130 4★ Uncommon Battleship Parts, 130 4★ Uncommon Interceptor Parts

Completing the mission unlocks the next mission in the chain whichever path you choose.

Which path to choose

Take the Romulan path if you need refined ore and have Dilithium to spare. Rare 4★ refined ore is slow to build up, and 28 of it plus 100 Uncommon is a good haul. There is no fight on this side, so any ship with warp 150 range can finish it.

Take the fighting path if you are upgrading 4★ battleships or interceptors and your combat ship can beat the Legionary and the Gladius. The parts are split evenly, 130 of each type, and the only cost is repairs.

Tips

Check your Dilithium before you pick the Romulan path. Four million is a lot to have on hand, and the donation is the first step after the choice.

On the fighting path, go in repaired. The Legionary is the stronger of the two at about 5.87 million, and the Gladius follows straight after in the same system.

Beneficiary follows Operations 45 and leads into Scientific Advancements, which also needs warp 150 and pays 43,200,000 Parsteel. Every mission by level is on the mission guide.
