Banishment is a Federation storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you attend a Federation inquisition as a representative of the Andorian people. The game lists a recommended level of 1, it starts at warp 1 and needs warp 95 to complete, and there is no fight. The payout is large: 5,670,000 Tritanium, 600 Federation Credits and 260,000 Federation Points. It unlocks Forced into Hiding. Warp 95 is the only real requirement.

Banishment objectives

Three objectives, no choice split:

  • Go to Jera and await further instructions. Location: Jera.
  • Go to Anthen and attend the Federation inquisition. Location: Jera.
  • Return to your Station.

Both story steps happen in the Jera system: you arrive, wait for instructions, then attend the inquisition on Anthen. The last step is the trip home. No hostile is listed and nothing has to be donated.

Where and what warp

You can accept Banishment at warp 1. Warp 95 is needed to complete it, since Jera is far out.

The recommended level shows as 1, but reaching warp 95 is what decides whether you can finish. There is no combat, so ship strength does not matter beyond surviving the trip.

The route is one round trip: out to Jera for both steps, then back to your station.

Banishment rewards

Reward Amount
Tritanium 5,670,000
Federation Credits 600
Federation Points 260,000
Klingon Points -393,120
Romulan Points -87,360

The negative values are reputation losses with the Klingons and Romulans. Completing it unlocks Forced into Hiding.

Missions before and after

Mission Recommended level Warp to complete
Severed Ties (before) 1 100
Banishment 1 95
Forced into Hiding (after) 1 105

Banishment is the shortest reach of the three. If your ship managed Severed Ties at warp 100, it has range to spare here, but Forced into Hiding pushes the finish to warp 105.

Tips

The storyline around it is Andorian: you attend the inquisition on behalf of the Andorian people, and the missions either side of it carry the same story forward at similar warp.

Send a ship you do not need for fighting. Nothing in the mission attacks you on purpose, so a survey or mining hull with enough warp range will do, and your combat ships stay free.

The reputation swing is large. Each completion takes almost 400,000 Klingon Points away, so if you are working on Klingon standing at the same time, plan around it. The faction reputation guide explains the levels.

The 5.67 million Tritanium is the main draw for most players. Put it toward the next building upgrade that is waiting on Tritanium, since at this stage that is often the resource holding things up.
