Autopilot: Tera Lara

Autopilot: Tera Lara is a one-step Augment mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, available from recommended level 1. You pick it up in Tera Lara, need warp 7 to start and finish it, and complete it by giving Khan 3,000 Dilithium for his experimental warp technology. The reward is 18,000 Tritanium. It is a quick trade of Dilithium for Tritanium, and worth taking if you have the Dilithium spare.

Autopilot: Tera Lara objectives

The mission has a single objective and no choice split:

  • Give Khan 3,000 Dilithium.

The story is that Khan wants to create a new warp path using his experimental warp technology, and your donation pays for it. There is no travel step after the pickup and no fight, so the whole mission is a donation screen. Once the 3,000 Dilithium is handed over the mission completes.

Where and what warp

The mission is picked up in Tera Lara, an Augment system. Warp 7 is listed both to start and to complete, so if your ship can reach Tera Lara, you have already met the warp requirement. The recommended level is 1, which makes the warp range and the Dilithium the only real gates.

Because the only objective is a donation, you do not need a combat ship or a mining ship for this one. Any ship that gets you to Tera Lara to accept the mission is enough.

Autopilot: Tera Lara rewards

Completing the mission pays 18,000 Tritanium. It does not unlock a follow-up part, so it stands on its own.

How the Autopilot missions compare

Tera Lara is one of several Autopilot missions that share the same story and the same cost. Each asks you to give Khan 3,000 Dilithium, and each needs warp 7 at both ends, but the payout is different:

Mission Pickup system Cost Reward
Autopilot: Tera Lara Tera Lara 3,000 Dilithium 18,000 Tritanium
Autopilot: Duriana Duriana 3,000 Dilithium 100,000 Parsteel
Autopilot: Yarda Yarda 3,000 Dilithium 3,000 Dilithium

Yarda hands back exactly what you paid, so it is a resource wash. Duriana and Tera Lara both turn Dilithium into a different resource, Parsteel in one case and Tritanium in the other. Which of those two is better depends on what your next upgrade is short of.

Tips

Have the 3,000 Dilithium saved up before you set off for Tera Lara. The donation is the whole mission, so arriving short leaves it sitting unfinished in your log.

Decide based on what you need more. If Tritanium is the resource holding up your next building, 18,000 of it for 3,000 Dilithium is a fair swap. If Dilithium is tight and you need it for something else first, finish that and come back to this one later.

If you are working through Khan’s storyline, the rest of it is on the Augment missions page, and every other mission by level is on the mission guide.
