Valley is a level 10 combat mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you break planetary blockades by force. It needs warp 5 to start and to complete, you can pick it up in any of 24 neutral systems, and its one objective is to defeat 6 hostile ships of level 9 or higher. The reward is a Lucia Gonzales officer shard. It is a short hostile hunt that fits alongside your normal daily fighting.

Valley objectives

The story line reads: stop the planetary blockades with brute force. There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Defeat 6 hostile ships of Level 9 or higher.

No specific system is named for the kills, so any hostile ship of level 9 or above counts. No named boss is listed and nothing is donated.

Where and what warp

Warp 5 to start and warp 5 to complete. The mission can be picked up in any of these systems: Somaochu, Dignam, Later, Alannah, Una, Dudu, Sohkia, Rozi, Luca, Tynkar, Gobbo, Doraboro, Flibble, Liynuk, Luheez, Zonu, Aum, Yoki Neesh, Maya, Mackers, Mari, Ethjamar, Ellijo and Bulut.

The recommended level is 10. The hostiles only need to be level 9 or higher, so a level 10 commander with an upgraded starter ship can handle them.

About the Lucia Gonzales reward

Lucia Gonzales is an uncommon Command officer from the Starfleet Academy group, aligned with the Federation. Her captain maneuver, Solution Finder, raises Critical Hit chance against hostiles, and her officer ability, Problem Solver, raises Critical Hit damage against hostiles, climbing with each rank.

Both abilities apply only against hostiles. That matches what Valley asks you to do, so the reward is an officer built for the same kind of fighting that earns it.

One shard is a small amount, but the mission is quick. If you are collecting her, it is a shard for fights you would probably do anyway.

Tips

Pick the mission up in whichever of the listed systems is closest to you. With 24 pickup systems, there is usually one nearby, and the kills can happen in the same area.

Stick to hostiles at level 9 or a little above. Anything at or over level 9 counts, so there is no benefit in picking a harder fight than you need.

If you have daily goals that involve defeating hostiles, run Valley at the same time. The six kills can count toward both.

Other missions around this level are on the mission guide.
