USS Franklin-A Part 5 is the fifth of eleven station-upgrade missions tied to the USS Franklin-A in Star Trek Fleet Command. It is recommended for level 43, needs only warp 1 because nothing happens outside your station, and asks for a single thing: raise Operations to level 44. The reward is 1 Franklin Warp Injector Mk. II, and finishing it unlocks Part 6. If you are already pushing Operations, this one completes itself.
USS Franklin-A Part 5 objectives
There is one objective and no choice split:
- Upgrade Operations to Level 44. Location: your station.
The mission’s story line is short and matches every other part of this chain: upgrade your station to unlock updates for the Franklin-A. There is no travel, no fight and no donation. The only requirement is the Operations level 44 upgrade, so the work is whatever that building upgrade asks of you.
Where and what warp
Warp is 1 to start and 1 to complete, the same as the rest of the Franklin-A chain. You never leave your station for this part. The recommended level of 43 sits one below the target, and the mission’s single objective is complete once Operations reaches 44.
That makes the recommended level the one number worth planning around. Parts 4, 5 and 6 sit one Operations level apart, so they follow your normal station progression rather than any ship or warp requirement.
USS Franklin-A Part 5 rewards
The reward is 1 Franklin Warp Injector Mk. II. Completing this part also unlocks USS Franklin-A Part 6.

Parts 1 to 8 each pay one Mk. II warp component, and Part 5 is the fifth of those eight. Parts 9 to 11 switch to retrofit keys. Parts 1 to 4 are two Operations levels apart; after Part 4 the gap closes to one level per part.

Treat this part as a checkpoint on your Operations track. The objective is the upgrade itself, so the effort goes into the Operations 44 building upgrade rather than anything on the mission screen.
Plan the next part at the same time. USS Franklin-A Part 6 asks for Operations 45, one level higher, so the Part 5 reward and the Part 6 objective arrive back to back.
