Upgrade Shipyard: Level 13 is one of the station-building missions in Star Trek Fleet Command. It asks for a single thing: bring your Shipyard up to level 13. There is no travel and no combat, so warp 1 covers both the start and the finish, and the mission data lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 1,500 Tritanium, and completing it unlocks Upgrade Defense Platform A to Level 2.
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 13 objectives
The story line reads “Upgrade the Shipyard to gain access to new and more powerful ships.” There is one objective and no choice split:
- Upgrade Shipyard to Level 13. Location: your station.
The objective completes when the Shipyard reaches level 13. Everything the mission asks of you happens in the station view: meeting the upgrade’s requirements, paying its cost and waiting for it to finish.
Where and what warp
This mission never leaves your station. Warp to start and warp to complete are both 1, and no system is named. Any ship you own, or none at all, is enough, since no ship is sent anywhere.
The mission data gives a recommended level of 1. In practice the mission becomes relevant when your station is ready for a level 13 Shipyard, because that upgrade is the whole task.
Upgrade Shipyard: Level 13 rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tritanium | 1,500 |
Completing Upgrade Shipyard: Level 13 also unlocks Upgrade Defense Platform A to Level 2.
The 1,500 Tritanium is a small top-up next to what the upgrade itself costs. The larger payoff is the one the story line points to: a higher Shipyard is how you gain access to new and more powerful ships.
Where it sits in the station missions
The station-building missions hand you from one building to the next. This one sits between an R&D upgrade and a defense platform upgrade.
| Order | Mission | What it asks for |
|---|---|---|
| Before | Upgrade R&D Department to Level 13 | R&D Department at level 13 |
| This mission | Upgrade Shipyard: Level 13 | Shipyard at level 13 |
| After | Upgrade Defense Platform A to Level 2 | Defense Platform A at level 2 |
The Shipyard also has its own run of level missions. The neighbors of this one are Upgrade Shipyard: Level 12 and Upgrade Shipyard: Level 14.
Tips
Treat the mission as a checklist item, not a goal of its own. The Shipyard upgrade is what matters, and the mission pays out as soon as it lands.
Check the upgrade requirements early. If the level 13 Shipyard has a requirement you have not met yet, the mission waits along with the upgrade.
Keep your ships working. Because nothing here needs a ship, your fleet can mine or fight while the Shipyard upgrade runs. Other missions, sorted by level, are on the mission guide.
