Trust Betrayed is a level 6 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Two Starfleet ships are missing, and Commander T’Lyle needs someone to find them: you locate the USS Javelin, pay Captain Romanov 400 Parsteel, and then track down and defeat Koslov. The mission can be picked up in any of twelve early systems and needs warp 5 to start and to complete. The reward is a Grace Chen shard and 330 Officer XP.
Trust Betrayed objectives
Four objectives with no choice split:
- Locate the USS Javelin. Location: Cospilon.
- Give Captain Romanov 400 Parsteel.
- Track down and defeat Koslov. Location: Halkon.
- Defeat Koslov. Location: Halkon. Enemy strength is roughly 533.
You find the USS Javelin in Cospilon and hand Captain Romanov 400 Parsteel, which is its own objective. The trail then leads to Halkon, where you track Koslov down and beat him. At about 533 strength, Koslov is a light fight, and defeating him ends the mission.
Where and what warp
You can pick up Trust Betrayed in Bridford, Landi, Bohvanderro, Benzi, Aker, Zukerat, Baw, Vinland, Estrada, Laurgatt, Takik or Ruli. Warp 5 covers the whole mission, from the pickup through Cospilon and Halkon.
The recommended level is 6. Koslov is weak enough that any crewed combat ship at that level can handle him, and the only other cost is 400 Parsteel.

Collecting Grace Chen
Grace Chen is an Uncommon Science officer from the Federation’s Starfleet Academy group, and reaching rank 1 takes 10 shards. Several early missions pay one shard each. Three of them share Trust Betrayed’s exact list of twelve pickup systems:

A Fair Trial, Revenge of the Ancients and The Fate of the Fallen also pay a Grace Chen shard, though in the last two it is only on one path. Collecting all of them still leaves you short of the 10 needed for rank 1, but it is a solid start at no real cost.
The extras differ from mission to mission: Remains of the Ancients adds 160 Tritanium, No One Gets Left Behind adds 20 Recruit Tokens, and Trust Betrayed adds 330 Officer XP.
Tips
Pick the four missions up together. They start in the same twelve systems, so one visit can cover all of them.
Expect a light fight. Koslov is the only hostile in the mission, and at about 533 strength he is weaker than the Nausicaan Raider in Raiders, which sits at about 669.
Have 400 Parsteel ready. The payment to Captain Romanov is the second objective, straight after finding the Javelin.
Put the Officer XP into your captain. At level 6, 330 Officer XP moves a new officer up noticeably. More early missions are on the mission guide.
