The Warp Trail Less Traveled is a level 11 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you plant a jamming device so a Corvallen spy can infiltrate the Orion Syndicate. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 8 to complete. After meeting the Corvallen agent in Whinnul, you choose to make the delivery in Orion or Nausicaa. The Orion path pays 3 Lucia Gonzales shards and 2,500 Officer XP; the Nausicaa path pays 3 Grace Chen shards and 120 Ship XP. Both add 25 1★ Survey Parts.
The Warp Trail Less Traveled objectives
The mission opens with one shared step and then asks where to plant the surveillance devices:
- Meet the Corvallen agent on Phosba. Location: Whinnul.
- Decide where to make the delivery.
Path 1: Orion
- Deploy the jammer at Orion Prime. Location: Orion.
- Defeat the Orion Enforcer. Location: Orion. Enemy strength is about 2,393.
Rewards for Path 1: 3 Lucia Gonzales shards, 2,500 Officer XP and 25 1★ Survey Parts.
Path 2: Nausicaa
- Make the delivery to Nausicaa. Location: Nausicaa.
- Defeat the Nausicaan Raider. Location: Nausicaa. Enemy strength is about 2,393.
Rewards for Path 2: 3 Grace Chen shards, 120 Ship XP and 25 1★ Survey Parts.
The two paths mirror each other. Each has one delivery and one fight, and the enemy strength is the same on both sides.
Where and what warp
You can accept the mission at warp 1. It needs warp 8 to complete. Phosba is in Whinnul, and the delivery goes to either Orion or Nausicaa.
The recommended level is 11, and both fights sit at about 2,393 strength.

Completing either path unlocks the next mission, Guilty By Association.
Which path to pick
The fights are identical, so the choice is about the officer. Pick Orion if you want Lucia Gonzales, or Nausicaa if you want Grace Chen. Grace Chen shards also come from several other early missions, so if you already have a good supply of her, the Orion path is the one that gives you something new. The Orion path also pays the more useful secondary reward, 2,500 Officer XP against 120 Ship XP.
Tips
Both fights are small at about 2,393 strength, so any combat ship near level 11 can finish either path without a repair stop.
The next mission, Guilty By Association, asks you to collect 6 Orion Manifests from Orion or Nausicaa, so you will be back in the same area straight away.
